Re: Wii U Discussion
Love the new update.
I sent out some friends request.
Would be fun to race online.
My id is sportdan41 but would prefer to change it to sportdan30 like my OS name. Can names be changed on the Wii U?

Re: Wii U Discussion
The bundle has one GamePad and one Wii Remote that's meant to be placed inside a plastic motion-controlled wheel.
The GamePad controls fine. The wheel + Remote combo lacks the responsiveness and precision to use on anything above 50cc difficulty.
I recommend picking up a Pro Controller for $40 or a Nunchuck that you can attach to the remote for $20. Maybe even get both, if you're planning on adding a third player to the mix.Last edited by jyoung; 06-04-2014, 11:22 PM.Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
For me the Wii U has been the perfect complimentary console to the PS4.
Mario Kart 8 is pretty good, but there's also:
- Pikmin 3
- The Wonderful 101
- Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
- Super Mario 3D World
- ZombiU
- LEGO City Undercover
- Wind Waker HD
- Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
- New Super Mario Bros. U
- NintendoLand
- Several good eShop titles
- Virtual Console
- Backwards compatibility with the Wii
And with that last point, it's been fun to play and have access to even more games for a console I never owned. There's some real hidden gems in the Wii's library that I guess was just overshadowed by all the waggle shovelware at the time.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Wii U Discussion
The $330 Mario Kart bundle is enticing and has me considering it. I don't feel the need for a PS4/Xbone yet since aside from Destiny and potentially Project Beast(?), I can play everything else on my PC.
Even if I think the WiiU itself is a little overpriced, there's over $100 of value in there from Mario Kart 8, a free game, and a Wiimote/racing wheel. Would probably use that free game on Wind Waker HD or Pikmin if I did pick one up though.
The main reason for me picking one up though would be that I'd be able to play Bayonetta 2.Other than Witcher 3 there's no other game that I'm more looking forward to. Smash Brothers also probably interests me than most other releases the rest of this year.

Re: Wii U Discussion
I picked a bundle up to get MK8 but I can't decide on my free game.
I've played the Windwaker on the GC and still have it. Is the HD version worth it if I can just play that one again?
Others I'm considering are Pikmin 3, Party U and Monster Hunter. Haven't played any of those games or previous versions.
