One last thing regarding the online structure: I am very much enjoying the non-clutter that is/was XBox Live. So clean and not nearly as busy.

Just played 3 matches of TDM on Black Ops 2. The system was downstairs, and I was just playing upstairs in a lounge chair while my wife read and I had my headphones plugged in. I was using my Etymotic headset I use with my phone, and a speaker logo I came up by my name in the lobby...looks like I can use it as my Wii U headset I guess.

It's just sooooo weird playing an HD game with classic button controls in the palm of my hands. I really intended too play it with the Wiimote + nunchuck combo that I love, but this was sweet too. Maybe tomorrow night I'll try it with the pad on the TV to see what the pad normally displays.

As for friends lists and the like, seemed pretty painless to me. I added Skyboxer by the search user profile method, but then I added BobbyColtraine via the Miiverse Friend thinger. Added no problem. Then, while in Black Ops, both of their names showed up on my friends list. I think this may just work out this time for Nintendo.

After my play session, I roamed their gaming communities and left a handwritten post on one of them. I'm very intrigued to see how their online community develops and grows...I actually feel like their may be some decent self-moderation going on.

Consider me impressed and looking forward to its future after Day 1.

Yeah that did look pretty good.... I can see what people are talking about as far as the movement while turning being a little stiff but other than that and some glitches it wasnt looking half bad.
            Damnit.

Well after the first day I can say I'm not disappointed. Sure there are some issues with release games and console like all consoles releases have but that's par for the course.
I can't say enough how much the gamepad adds to Madden and I hope future games really show off what the gamepad can bring to the table.

Really starting to want this. I'm a sucker for Mario and Zelda games. Also the Madden game pad functions sound pretty cool.

I feel the same way. I was a little frustrated that I couldn't connect to my wireless router using auto settings (as of yesterday I had to manually input everything), but I am more tolerant of day one issues now. We only have Nintendoland, but it has been great fun to play with my kid. We were going to make him wait to Xmas, but it seemed cruel since he watched us get the thing.

Blockbuster gets WiiU games in for rent tomorrow so I will check out either Mario, Zombiu or Scribblenauts.

Played an hour or so of ZombiU last nite after The Walking Dead. (Great season so far BTW)

I want everyone here to take my comments WITH A GIGANTIC GRAIN OF SEA SALT - I don't play a lot of these types of games and it was the gamepad features that drew me in combined with the fact that I've only recently gotten into the whole zombie thing in TV/movies/books etc.

That being said - I had a blast with it during the time I played. It's a horror game, so a lot will depend on your expectations and how you approach it. I tried to play very cautiously, as if I was in The Walking Dead. I knew that the game had perma-death, and I didn't want to die and lose my gun. I didn't want to engage any walkers if I didn't have to, and I didn't want to fire my gun for fear of attracting more. I was mostly just sneaking around, although there is a part early on where there is a mounted machine gun that I couldn't resist getting on, but I destroyed one walker and then GTFO.

So far, so good. My opinion could change as I get further into the game but right now I feel like I will play this a lot.

Does anyone know if 2 GamePads are supported for these games?
Is it even needed for certain games like Mario and the Lego games?

Not needed an you can't even get a stand alone gamepad yet as they are not sold seperately.
All you need is a Wiimote for MP stuff and a Pro controller for some games also. I picked up the Wii pro controller as it's only 19.99 and 2 Wiimotes.

Well I've had a few "Lockups/Buzzing" so far. A couple yesterday and so far twice today. Hope this isn't a big issue..
Once playing Scribblenauts and just now playing Madden...

                                Crosses fingers...

UPDATE: Madden just locked up again at same place.(Starting first game in CCM) Going to delete rosters and try again.. May just be a Madden thing with this one...
