    Re: Wii U Discussion

If it really is $250, I'll buy one impulsively.

I liked the gamecube as a 3rd console, skipped the wii, and I'm ready to play some nintendo 1st party stuff again.

I think Nintendoland will come packed with all three and the $349 bundle may also include a Wiimote or the new controller.

If it takes $350 to get the new controller this will be a joke.

I think all 3 bundles will come with the new Gamepad and Nintendoland. After the success of the Wii, packing in some tech software might not be a bad idea which is why I see NintendoLand in all sku's.

$250 - WiiU, Gamepad, and NintendoLand
$300 - WiiU, Gamepad, NintendoLand, and either the Wiimote or Pro Controller

no way that happens. The tablet controller is the whole point, and face, of the console. I'm guessing it will just be bundles with different accessories and games.

Will Wii games play on the WiiU? This is definitely a yes right?

This is huge for me. If the old controllers and games work, our Wii Rock Band stuff works I will definitely be buying the $250 one for the kids for Christmas. They love Mario and Kirby and you can't get those games anywhere else. I'll be pre-ordering as soon as I can despite the fact I will never play this myself.

This may have been posted already but here's some info/screens for NBA 2k13 on the U

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

                            Re: Wii U Discussion

I haven't owned a Nintento console since the NES. I played the SNES and N64 a ton at my friends' houses that owend them (I had a Genesis and Playstation) and never got a Gamecube or Wii.

I have owned all of the handhelds, though.

I'm thinking the Wii U may be the console to get me back in. I like being able to play Wii games on it (I love Nintendo first-party efforts) and the new controller for the Wii U has me interested in its capabilities.

Plus, I have no intention of upgrading from my 360 or PS3 for at least 2 years after the new versions of those systems are released, so the Wii U could be a nice bridge.

                                Re: Wii U Discussion

I gotta be honest, Nintendo first party titles in HD may honestly be enough to get me to buy this. Titles likes Mario Galaxy are still an experience that can really only be had on a Nintendo console, and the fact that this will also play all Wii games... I think I'm going to bite.

I wonder when we can finally preorder.

Apparently Rayman Legends is a console exclusive too, so that pretty much settles it... I'm getting a WiiU.
