 Re: Wii U Discussion

We are probably going to sell Sonic. The horrible static for local multiplayer is ridiculous. Can't believe they haven't patched it. The kids want Skylanders.

Edit: To clarify the static only exists when using MORE than 2 players. When we use 3-4 players as a family the statis is horrible and there is a workaround. You just have to turn the sound effects in the audio menu down to 0. For some reason it's the sound effects with more than 2 players that causes horrible audio static when racing.Last edited by rudyjuly2; 01-17-2013, 07:55 AM.Comment

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Anyone have NBA 2k13? I'm wondering how it is compared to the 360. I have it for the 360 and I'll play my assoc on that, but I was thinking about picking it for myplayer. Could be a nice thing to play while the wife watches her shows.Moderator

 Re: Wii U Discussion

I do but didn't play 360 at all this year (first year I didn't get it on xbox since dreamcast!) so I can't compare this years version specifically. But it seems to play up to par and I don't see any issues with it (reviews seem to agree.) I think it is missing moving jerseys though if you care about that. Also the past few years I haven't really cared about "need to patch this or patch that or official rosters suck" and whatnot, so I don't know if there was anything missing in the patch it received vs the other versions. Though there was a thread stating it would get the same updates.

Long story short it plays fine, and is nice to play on the gamepad.Comment

Wish that post wasn't near-useless because of the image resize problems. (edit: there it goes, much better!)

Either that was an epic 30 minutes or this guy is paid by Nintendo: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/..._medium=socialComment

 Re: Wii U Discussion

Wind Waker HD looks absolutely gorgeous.

You know, with my kids starting to get into gaming, and with me playing more Nintendo first-party titles (I bought the Wii around its launch), I am remembering what I loved most about gaming. The Wii U can't knock our socks off with specs like the next Xbox and PS, but what Nintendo understands best is how to envelop our senses with fun and delight.

Mario, Kart, Zelda, these games produce more joy out of me as a 37 year old than the majority of other new releases. The characters never seem to get old, especially to kids, and the gameplay produces more fun than I've had since I was a kid myself.

I am really excited about the future titles they "announced" today. We all knew they were coming, but now that they're somewhat tangible, I'm really looking forward to what Nintendo is going to bring to my favorite hobby, gaming.PSN Username = FinsUp75Comment

Now that I have kids I have a renewed appreciation for Nintendo. When my 5 year old beats Bowser or when he catches me in Nintendoland his reactions are priceless.Wind Waker HD looks absolutely gorgeous.
