I just wish they would give us an HD collection of the trilogy.

Yeah I know most games are supposed to run in 720p but a few just was unsure if I was to manually make the change or not. Also with game mode turned on should I just leave the settings in it as is or does making adjustments defeat the purpose. Most of the settings like contrast, brightness, backlight etc. are lowered in game mode from standard. Thanks for your time.

I honestly can't think of a logical reason they wont. An HD re-release of all three with trophy/achievement support would sell like hot-cakes.

Turning game modes on changes the display settings? I've never seen that before. Those settings shouldnt have anything to do with game mode so you should be able to adjust those to your tastes. Settings that have on/off toggle should be turned to off but everything else is subjective and can be adjusted.

Yeah when I turn game mode on the settings are different than what I have setup in standard mode. For instance brightness is lowered as is contrast, sharpness, color, & backlight. Plus all the things that have a on or off toggle are set to off. I just want to be sure it doesn't hinder game mode by increasing the settings in case their lowered for that reason. Thanks.

I don't know what brand television you have, but any Samsung I've had has completely different settings for Game Mode on vs. off. That's one of my favorite things about Game Mode: I can have completely different settings for games than I do for movies. That's almost the sole reason I use it, outside of some "input lag reduction."

I have an LG and yes I also can have different settings when I watch movies than when I play games. When I turn game mode on the picture is more dull and degraded as the settings are lowered and things like auto contrast, noise reduction are turned off which they should be. So is it okay to adjust the regular settings like contrast, brightness, color. backlight etc. or should they just be kept at what game mode has them set at? I don't want to touch anything in game mode if it is going to hinder it and cause lag. Just trying to improve the look in game mode if I can. Thanks & sorry for derailing the thread.

Just as I said, treat "Game Mode" as nothing more than another preset for you to be adjusted for how you like your games to look. Change it to your liking. It's probably best to keep off post-processing settings such as Dynamic Contrast, though.

Yeah I'll do that thanks for the tips. I just got my new tv yesterday as my 32" died after 6 years so I upgraded to a 42" & I'm tinkering with the modes and settings. Thanks again for the suggestions much appreciated.

I played the demo. I was curious/unsure how they where going to be able to translate the controls but it kinds works. I think it's a little slow on response time and way to touchy. Takes a minute amount of movement on the stick to catch or move the ball so it's really hard to have finesse.
