As long as you like the old-school type SRPG's and don't go in expecting a final fantasy-type plot, I think you'll enjoy it. Lots of good stuff gameplay-wise that some bigger name RPG's could take a lesson from.

The game can probably be as easy or hard as you want it, depending on the difficulty you choose and what you start he game with. If you go with the adventuresome pre-set, be ready to start grinding right out of the gate.

Oh yeah - not all the enemies are as single minded in choosing their targets as the first several are, so don't let that bother you when you first start. You'll run into ones that will target your weakest party member, and some that, as far as I can tell, choose their targets randomly. It's absolutely not as simple later on as it seems in the beginning.

Having fun so far! I chose adventurous and found myself fleeing a couple times. Not ashamed to admit that lol

        Love the old school feel

I'm not an RPG guy, but man, you guys have piqued my interest with Rainbow Moon. Is there a playable demo for this game? I know $15 isn't much, but I still don't want to just blindly purchase something I may not like.

No, there's no demo (at least not yet), but interestingly, the game's purchase IS a demo with a full game unlock key. That may mean one will come later, although there's no way to really know.

But if you're curious about it, I'd just suggest looking up some videos of it on Youtube. I honestly don't think you have much to worry about in the way of spoilers since this game is so light on plot and so heavy on the RPG gameplay.

Wait, there is Sky? is it available outside of the purchased version?

Yeah there's one. When I went to buy it there was a demo listed plus a download to unlock demo to full version.

Right, but I believe that "demo" (which is actually the full game's content) is only available to download on that screen - or in other words, after you've already purchased the game. There's no listing for the demo by itself in the store.

Well that's a weird way to do it. Why name it Rainbow Moon Demo if it really isn't...

LOVING the game. Not slamming any newer RPG or anything but man this game brings back the memories of actually having to use some thinking , surroundings as well as items etc...

Much in the old guise of games like Shining Force, Ogre Battle, those games did it right.

GTA 3 is supposed to come out Tuesday on the PS Store as a straight port for $9.99. I am definitely gonna get it. I never beat it. I got close but someone saved over it.

I still cant wait for GTA Vice City.

Hey guys I got a quick question. I just bought a new 1080p tv and would like to know when playing games does it automatically downscale to 720p? I have both 1080p & 720p check marked in the PS3 display settings. Or do I have to uncheck 1080p manually to go to 720p when playing games? Thanks.

They'll play at their native resolution, which pretty much means every game but Gran Turismo 5 will probably play in 720p haha.
