I guess I missed the boat with the new playstation network thing. I don't download much, just mainly play the Show and a little Red Dead Revolver, and now the whole "Activating" or "Deactivating" my PS3 has me all jacked up.

I can't download the online pass and get online w MLB 12 (the whole reason I own a PS3) and after two days and about 6 hours of my valuable time messing with it, I swear I am ready to chunk the whole system into the street.

I am beyond frustrated, and being an old man I can't help but ask why did they have to "fix" the )(*^)*&%^ *O%^ ( system if it wasn't broken? I had no problems whatsoever last year getting online w MLB 11. BUt now, thanks to their stupid online pass system I am screwed.

I don't think I am asking for much. I want to play ONE game and be able to get online w it. That's it.

I had the same problem with my Vita code and I was issued a new one within 3 days. I'm still waiting on my PS3 code, though. I'm going to send SCEA another e-mail just in case they forgot about my PS3 code.

Did you contact Customer Support? I'm sure that helped me get my new Vita code as quickly as I did.

Online Codes are annoying but it seems most game companies are moving that way. It's a tracking device for them, and also is a way to keep people from buying used copies.

Did you contact Customer Support? I'm sure that helped me get my new Vita code as quickly as I did.

Apparently I now have to wait 7 days for my console/account to unfreeze. This after the first 2 customer service reps told me to keep trying to download as it was a "server issue". Alas, that was not the case, and and my repeated attempts to download caused my account to be frozen.

The 3rd rep seemed to know what he was talking about. So next Friday I can call them and try and "activate" my console, then hopefully download the online pass. Mind you, I am the only owner/user of the console, and have had it for 4 years or so. Why it was not "activated" is beyond me.

I may or may not even bother.

From what I see not many good games coming out in the update tomorrow.. except Bioshock 2 (which hopefully I can try and plat unless the online is dead then I won't buy it)

But there's also that Disney cartoon game Phinious and Pherb or something like that lol, seems easy enough.
And of course Journey, will DEFINITELY try it out but probably not tomorrow.

I admittedly don't do a lot of gaming on my PS3, but man, after yesterday I think I am about done.

I picked up Resistance 3 on clearance at Walmart, it took over an hour and a half to download and apply 4 patches.

I downloaded the PS Plus Street Fighter, took less than 10 minutes. Then it had a 300mb patch or something and after giving it 15 minutes to get to 3% it said it had 55 minutes left.

BTW, for you guys playing Journey, if you play with someone and have an urge to find out who it is, make note of the symbol when they ping (or whatever), it will tell you who it was at the end.

I don't know what you're referring to but my friends list has been acting up the last couple days. Showing incorrect # of people online(the little number in the corner doesn't equal the people if I count them) and showing no last sign in time for some people.

Edit: And no, I don't anally count my friends. I noticed it because there was a tiny number of people on this morning and it was readily apparent the numbers didn't match.

It's happening to my entire PS3 friends list right now.

Okay...now it's showing people online in the list, just not the number at the top (like Mabster said). Guess it's an improvement.

They really need to fix this connectivity between the Vita and PS3 with the friends lists and trophies. This thing has been out since December, hoping it doesn't take Sony forever to fix these small issues.
