There is a small bump in load times and games like Fall Out with the hitch are fixed with the hybrid drive.

    But

Biggest advantage and worth the extra 250 is the Elite controller...It is like holding a magic pearl found in a cave...Is mystical when you hold it...Dead Serious...=)

That is a big bummer...But get both consoles when they become affordable to you

I am fortunate enough to have both and the show is main reason I love my PS4 amongst is a great console as well...

But my main gaming console is the xb1...

One thing I noticed is that the install times from disc are much quicker with the new hybrid drive

Is it true elite controller only uses batteries. No rechargeable? Wonder if plans to have in future?

Where does the 20 percent faster report come from?

Would it be worth it even if I use an external drive

$500 Xbox One Elite console comes with new SSHD; Microsoft announces Lunar White controller; UPDATE: UK price and release date revealed.

The upgrade would be for the controller...the extra 20% in some games not all as it can alter is just extra credit

If you use an external it would only the same if using a hybrid or better

Seems the controller is main selling point. Fast external could maybe match elite internal.

The hybrid drive remembers your pins and most used apps and games and stores them in partitions which loads them 20% quicker then non used apps and games...

Yea if you can get an sshd or hybrid drive it would match it and be better as you would add storage as well. But that comes at a cost not to mention the cost of an elite controller.

With the Elite you get the console and controller without having to plug another device

Is there advantage to not having Kinect connected? Performance wise? Or just minimal.

Zero differences as Kinect being on of off has no impact on games performances...Only the devs of the game can use the resources allocated to kinect to improve the game slightly which will turn off the kinect features for said game but user has no control on that

But, gaming it looks great. So there is def something up. When I get home I'm going to directly connect my cable box to my tv to see if that makes the picture better. But I am assuming there is something creating these weird grainy pictures.

Purchased EA Access last week and was pretty disappointed to find out that the extras and map packs still cost extra money... Was expecting to have all of the Battlefield 4 map packs available to play.. Cool concept though.
