Anyone here have problems using their original X1 plug in mic with the newer controllers with the additional 3.5 connection as well as the original x1 mic connection? I just picked up a brand new lunar white one and my mic isn't recognized while plugged in to that controller but it is recognized in my older controller...help

oh yes, women (most women) seem to see things a good bit different than us.

case in point, this past week I've been pretty broke but I did get some money from my sister for her sons call of duty at target, and I had already pre-purchased fallout 4.

so I went to Target and got call of duty, fallout 4 and rise of the tomb raider (free third game).

I come home and she says "how in the world did you manage to buy 3 games when you said you didn't even have enough to get a full tank of gas yesterday?"

i proceeded to explain i had prepurchased one game, my sister had given me $65 for my nephews Christmas gift and the third game was free.

well she just said "mmmm hmmmm......." and narrowed her eyes like the monkey in Family guy does..and I knew she thought I was full of it

so yeah, me going and doing that for a new Xbox One, and believe me she'd notice, would mean I'd probably wake up dead sometime this weekend with my new Elite controller buried in my skull....

Turned the ole girl on and had the updated dash, in South Jersey. Updating the controllers now

Anybody on the east coast get the update yet?

Still nothing on my end and it says in the system tab, last update check was done this afternoon while I was at orientation.

Still nothing here either. Looks like I'm still running the last preview program version. 10.0.10586.1006. Last checked for an update at 6:06am this morning. LAst update installed was 11/09

No BC titles available on my ready to download list yet either.

Kinda confused here.

Wasnt there an option on the previous OS that forced it to check for updates?

EDIT: Nevermind. After a hard reboot, they're now there. So, maybe the version I've got is the current release, even though it was installed 11/09/2015. Interesting

Love this system even more now. Playing South Park Stick of Truth and it runs great.

Where do we go to see our backwards compatible games and is there an easier way to use game dvr now? I have it snapped but when I hide it then try to jump to it again I always get the friends bar. I can navigate and launch the game dvr from there but it's 3 or 4 additional steps from how it was before the update. I was hoping it would get easier to capture, not harder.

Anyone have any ideas how to speed this up?

Well that is cool man...good to see. I know Phil Spencer has talked about his favorite games on the PS4 so I guess that makes sense.

Speaking of Phil Spencer...

So a new Microsoft store just opened here in Columbus about a month ago. I went down there two weeks ago and a young girl came up to wait on me.

I asked her something and then she didn't seem to know, so I made a reference to Phil Spencer. She said who is that? And I joked "wow, you don't know who Phil Spencer is?"

So I explained to her who it was. I told her, I could be Phil Spencer and if you guys don't know who it is then you'd never even know!

She then pulled up a Google search on him and I said "there he is, lol, I'm not Phil Spencer".

Then I pointed out why I call him Vampire Phil because he looks just like the lead actor from True Blood (who is called Vampire Bill) and the MS employees were like "holy cow, he really does look just like him.."

Bottom line, now the people who work at that store will know who Phil Spencer is if he ever visits...HEH....

LOL! Of course, the retail employees are so far removed from Microsoft HQ that it's not surprising. They probably don't make a point of training them about our VPs.

Damn, for me this is like a relaunch of the Xbone..I wasn't going to get SWBF, but im downloading now from EA access.. Have ROTTR I have to play, HALO 5 I really still haven't got into yet.. Now 6 of my old Xbox 360 are downloading too. I'm going have about 60 games on my 3TB HDD and I still have about 1.8 GB free.. Damn I have to say gaming is great again, long live the Xbox. Enjoy to all

Awesome to see xbox one fans loving all that MS is providing...Great to see folks enjoying their old games in their new consoles...Is what gaming is about really.

Found them at the very far right along with other xbox one demos I downloaded but removed. Thanks.
