This is the only forum I participate in where confusion over Scorpio is still a topic of conversation, most are just waiting to see what the product will be, as am I.

Yeah I agree. To me it's really not that serious. It's over a year away. I think everything is gonna be fine.

Well, Xbox Fitness is officially dead. If you purchased content, you have a year of access left. That's unfortunate.

For those who were interested in Batman: Return to Arkham, it's been delayed and no new release date has been given.

            Well here is the thing.

The scorpio advantages are mostly going to come from exclusives only. The games that come out on ps4 neo or ps4 or vanilla xb1 are going to be slightly better and not crazy better. Is part of the whole nobody gets left behind, that team is not only to mean that those consoles get the game as well. They get fully feature games and the neo and scorpio just get better frames and resolution.

A game like Madden will perform and look a bit better on scorpio and neo in terms of frames per second and aa but you will not see Madden 19 come out in 4K on scorpio and 1080p on xb1 and ps4 neo and vanilla. Not going to happen for at least 3 more years after release.

Sony can offered to keep shut because their console coming this year and soon while MS needs to educate starting now because they do not want people to completely abandoned buying xb1 until scorpio.

The whole if you have no 4K tv do not buy scorpio is just a ploy to sell more slims. PERIOD...

Either an issue w/ my console or I've been bit by the preview program myself. Madden 16 won't start, and can't uninstall it so that I can reinstall it

I ran into this yesterday, too. But it magically fixed itself late last night.

This has been as rough a preview as the last mega update that really changed the UI. I've had to restore the console to factory defaults a couple times, and this morning it wouldn't turn on at all. I unplugged it for a few minutes and then it booted right up.

Cortana is great in some ways, but terrible for TV commands. They need to tighten that up.

I'm confident it will be great by the time they release it will all be great, but I might opt out of the preview for awhile.

yeah it would be nice if they took the old tv commands and hard coded those so that if that is what it hears, it doesn't need cortana to take 2-3 seconds to process it.

Another thing, cortana can hear me say "skip forward 6 times" just fine, but will only skip forward a single time. Would be nice if they could implement number counters. Even if Cortana does need to process it. Much better than repeating it myself 6 times. Easier to just use the remote.

I knew people used it, but I always thought it was something like "Yeah, it's there I'll use it."

Yeah....I think they analyze the stats and only kill features that aren't used enough to be worth it....

They turn off features that they want to, whether people are using them or not doesn't matter. They had the feature where your Kinect could sense when your controller was down and go into low power mode. Anyone with a Kinect would've used it even by accident. And they cut it and stopped putting the sensor in the new controllers. Reading some of this is like people who question if people use the TV features, yeah they do.

It's super unfortunate because I can only imagine how hard some people find it to lose weight, and they finally found a service that worked for them, and the Kinect would correct their posture, it did a lot of good for people. As far as trust in MS, this is just another in a list of things they've given up on. If it doesn't affect you, you probably don't care but for people who spent $500 on a console with a Kinect to workout, I bet they'll remember.

No, they turn off services that aren't financially viable for them. It's standard business fare, and it's intelligent.

They had the feature where your Kinect could sense when your controller was down and go into low power mode. Anyone with a Kinect would've used it even by accident. That first part sounds terrible. As for the TV features, there's nothing wrong with them - also they don't really require upkeep do they? I have no idea which TV features you are talking about, because I've never used them.

It's super unfortunate because I can only imagine how hard some people find it to lose weight, and they finally found a service that worked for them, and the Kinect would correct their posture, it did a lot of good for people. That never really worked for anyone I've talked to that used the XBox Fitness stuff. The posture correcting and all, that is. It sucks that it's shutting down for those that used it, but if you bought a video game console for $500 because you could work out with it, I think there are some priorities that need the be reshuffled if this is something that truly angers you.
