Re: Xbox One
This has happened to me on occasion with my One X. It's only the One X controller it has happened to though which is weird. Usually I'll just grab another controller and continue. When I boot up again on another day it works like normal. Doesn't happen to often but enough that I've noticed.

Re: Xbox One
There are for sure better options out there but I've had zero issues playing them on mine. Gets the job done, looks great, and sounds great. I think the higher end your setup is then you'd want to consider a better player. But for my Samsung 4K HDR display and Sonos Home Theater setup it's solid.

Re: Xbox One
I have the occasional desync issue - only with our two elite controllers (not the ones that came with the day 1, the S, or the Scorpio) and only when we have a headset plugged into it (via 3.5mm OR the headset adapter.)
Luckily I usually play at my desk with a headset amp, so not a huge issue for me. But if playing in the living room, then I usually just use another controller.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I've watched exactly one disc on the One S and one on the One X. Both were fine, certainly looked better than streaming, but in no way convinced me to go back to renting discs. It's not a high end UHD player, but its fine for 90 of the people who want watch movies.
But I still prefer Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and renting from the Microsoft Store or Amazon.
Since the new Forizon and Crackdown 3 were most probably day one purchases, this makes too much sense. It kind of pays for itself. The only caveat is that as we get closer to launch, Crackdown 3 may still prove to be a dud that I decide to pass on.
But even with just one game, it changes the math to make it a better deal for the rest of the games you have access, too. It also means I would give Ship of Thieves State of decay 2 a try. In future years, we will have Halo and Gears games to add to that list, which is pretty sweet. And a new Ori is coming.
One question is, does this encourage Microsoft to make more or fewer exclusive titles going forward?Comment

Re: Xbox One
Don't have tons of xbox gaming time yet, but this would make me consider the pass now. Especially if/when MS gets better exclusives. Imagine if they were somewhat equal to Sony, or even close..that would be so worthwhile.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
More if you want people to engage with Game Pass long-term. At some point you run out of tentpoles and you can't rely on third party content. Microsoft on multiple occasions has talked about things like Game Pass subscriptions being able to help fund more episodic content and riskier projects (like single player only games). Maybe we start to see more mid-tier games.
Also pretty much all big Microsoft 1st party games have an XBL service of some kind. $60 is a lot and that option will still be there, but a $10 Game Pass subscription and XBL Gold subscription could lead to more ecosystem growth and more total spending in the long run.
This is potentially a very shrewd move. If they can bring the content up to where their hardware and services are currently, they will be in a good spot in the future, especially an all-digital one. They need to bring BC and Game Pass to PC. They have a classic PC IP catalogue that maybe would get people to care about the Windows Store.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Xbox One
Moving to a full-on Netflix model for Game Pass was a brilliant move for MS. That, coupled with their commitment to bringing more first-party content, will absolutely pay dividends for them. I will definitely sub around the time Crackdown 3 releases.XBL: Mean Greene

Re: Xbox One
If I was going to play a MS game just get a 6 month pass for the same money (in theory)...not like I usually play most games longer than that, and you'd have access to everything else when you get bored.
Not signing up now, but very tempting to combine with GWG and pay like 160ish a year for a good amount of access to games.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
