Would be nice if that's what it will actually look like.

720 already has 8GB of RAM planned
GDDR RAM would require not only a significant cost increase (PS4 will be expensive) but they would have to change their entire design to use it...
they already had a plan to have the same games in next gen graphics as PS4 and they already have ESRAM chip on board to help meet the bandwidth needs that GDDR5 will bring...
so all of this hand wringing is unnecessary and I seriously doubt MS was caught off guard... the specs of PS4 were well known prior to this and if MS didn't suspect the possibility that Sony would raise it to 8GBs then you don't know how an engineering company operates.
the are not worried. they do not need to meet them spec for spec and have many other amazing features planned for the system... and we will be hard pressed to see a difference in games this coming gen as you were this past gen when the CELL PROCESSOR was the end all be all.
All the extra entertainment add ons will not matter, I truly believe what ever company comes hard with pure gaming will win next gen.N.Y Mets

Re: Xbox 720
Yeah multi-console games are going to look about the same, its going to come down to the exclusives to see what system has the best graphics, and I doubt their is going to be a hugh difference between the best looking game on Xbox720 and the best looking game on the PS4. Just like their is not a huge difference between the best looking Xbox360 game and the best looking PS3 game.
But I hope the Xbox720 has something to rival the PS4's GaiKai streaming service with Spectator Mode. It gives you the ability to watch your friends play, send a multicast to invite multiple friends to watch you play a game in real time, while typing comments, and you can even join in and take over a game! That may be the deciding factor for me.Comment

Re: Xbox 720
The issue will be exclusives, and Sony has had MS by he you know what with that and still does..sorry another Gears and Halo will not cut it next gen..So MS needs to come hard with exclusives or I think they will be had in a big way, cause MS just can't compare with what Sony offers in the exclusive department. As for us sports gamers, when the Show14 is reveled that alone with most definitely put sport gamers in aww. So if MS has the same 3rd party games and the exclusive games are non existing they will be in trouble out of the gate.

I know the Sony Presser has people excited........Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Xbox 720
I have a Xbox360, and come to think about it, I don't play any of its exclusive titles. Ive never liked Halo, I stopped playing Gears of War after the second one, and I don't even know what other exclusive they have. I personally like Sony exclusives over Microsoft but chose to go with the 360 because they have a better online service and most of my friends had jumped ship to the Xbox360.Comment

Re: Xbox 720
I see little to no chance of that happening..their own conference will be all the bells and whistle of what their system can do for "you"...no matter who that "you" is. Then at E3 they will talk about games and lets hope then they really bring it-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: Xbox 720
Well Sony really didn't show me anything I "really" care about at this point either.
All they showed was a tech demo, Killzone and talked about being able to play games on different things like the VITA etc...(While cool...I have no need for that)
I need more from Sony as well of course from MS.
Most importantly, pricing.
Like someone else stated most of the people I game with online when I do go online are all XBOX. So unless there's some major difference in pricing/gaming I'm leaning XBOX.
I'm perfectly happy with my PC gaming and frankly if EA doesn't bring it with Madden I may be PC only IF I can not cave and get a system until we see Madden "next Gen".Joshua:

To be honest, I don't even care football games anymore, they have become quite stake to me and just never do what they used to for me. Maybe its because I was a huge 2k football guy and madden just never meets my expectations.. For me its all about baseball gaming, if the show was Xbox thay would be huge, but its not.. I'm still keeping ny 360 slim because my son plays it a lot, for me Xbox is a great multimedia box for me and no longer really game on it.

However I got to have my NFL!! lol
But like I said EA needs to really do some good AI and player interactions this year to justify any console for me.
(And I am haven't really gamed on XBOX or PS3 for a while now also, as all I've needed is on PC.Joshua:

Re: Xbox 720
I think it looks great, but my concern is IF this is the design. Where is the air flow? It looks like it would retain a ton of heat. Even if the back had some exhaust there still seems to be very little heat distribution. Looks like another RROD waiting to happen to me.Comment

Did you see the GaiKai part when they talked about Spectator mode, which gives you the ability to watch your friends play a game even while you play another, send a multicast to a group of friends so they can watch you play a game while commenting or chatting, and you can even take over playing a friends game if you wanted! That didnt impress you? Im sorry, but if Xbox does not have anything to rival this, then I'm meeting new friends on PSN, and I'm pretty sure alot if my Xbox friends will be joining me.Last edited by ghettogeeksta; 02-25-2013, 10:03 AM.Comment

Sony will probably be better at E3 than at that presentation. The most talked about thing from that presentation was Watch Dogs, and I can get that for both next-gen systems or the current-gen.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment
