Re: Xbox 720
The ram is the one thing that I really hope Microsoft has either already changed or can somehow start changing as soon as possible, assuming that the previous rumors are true.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Xbox 720
What if Microsoft is banking on having a cheaper box and other things besides hardware specs? I mean it's not like the next Xbox is even close to a Wii U like upgrade, or will look like crap compared to PS4 based off the rumored specs.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Has there been any rumors at all that Microsoft has been considering changing their discs up?--

Re: Xbox 720
What MS probably does is look at all they want to accomplish and then build a system that will do just that. I highly doubt they look what's under the hood of their competitor and say, "why don't we have that..hurry put it in." Really, what we saw MS do to answer to motion controlling with the Wii is maybe something that says, "Look what they are doing..what can we do in motion controlling?" And then with what Sony is doing with what looks just like a Kinect, maybe those are things that show weakness or an attempt to keep up. But I'm thinking they have specs for each system nailed down and won't be switching things around simply because someone else has a little more of something.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Xbox 720
Next Xbox to be unveiled in April?
American football has been around since the 19th century. Even though soccer fans make fun of American football, the two are closely tied. Football evolved from a hybrid of rugby and soccer that colleges in the 19th century were playing. This hybrid style of the sport was called the "Boston Game."
It looks like this week’s unveiling of the PlayStation 4 caught one company by surprise and are deciding to unveil their new console earlier than expected. According to a handful of developers and industry professionals, including a Sony official, it’s said that the Redmond-based company was caught “off-guard” by the PS4 announcement and is currently scrambling to get the Xbox 720 revealed earlier than expected.
We expected Microsoft to unveil the Xbox 720 during E3 in June, but now it’s said that the company will announce its next-generation gaming console at its own media event sometime in early April, where they’ll have the chance to take as much time as they want to show off the new console without any attention being taken away by other E3 events.
In fact, Ustechs, which is a partner of Microsoft’s and has worked with the company on previous media events such as their press conference at E3 last year, has registered the domain name XboxEvent.com, which could be used to promote Microsoft’s rumored April event, and act as a central hub for the event.
Of course, this is all speculation, but Sony believes that they have ruffled some feathers over in Redmond, Washington. While the console wars have always been around, it looks like 2013 will be host to one of the biggest console wars we may ever see. The PlayStation 4 will be available to the public in time for the holiday season this year, and we can expect the same from Microsoft.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Xbox 720
720 already has 8GB of RAM planned
GDDR RAM would require not only a significant cost increase (PS4 will be expensive) but they would have to change their entire design to use it...
they already had a plan to have the same games in next gen graphics as PS4 and they already have ESRAM chip on board to help meet the bandwidth needs that GDDR5 will bring...
so all of this hand wringing is unnecessary and I seriously doubt MS was caught off guard... the specs of PS4 were well known prior to this and if MS didn't suspect the possibility that Sony would raise it to 8GBs then you don't know how an engineering company operates.
the are not worried. they do not need to meet them spec for spec and have many other amazing features planned for the system... and we will be hard pressed to see a difference in games this coming gen as you were this past gen when the CELL PROCESSOR was the end all be all.Comment

It all goes back to their goals for this system and what they want to accomplish. The same holds true for the PS4. These are huge companies that don't operate on a whim. What is in the next xbox and PS4 is what they feel is necessary.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Sony has my money so far but..
If Microsoft does have an event please focus on gaming similar to what Sony did. Don't talk about watching cable and windows media center etc...#1 Laker fan
