    Re: Xbox One

I think if there are any issues it'll be minimal. Microsoft lost a lot of money because of the RROD. They're not looking to make that mistake again. It's not like the 360 has stayed the same. I feel like they realized the issues and now they know how to avoid them. I don't know if you have heard the black slim 250GB 360's but they're super quite. I've heard reports that the One is even quieter. Not to mention now you can install games, once the games are installed the disc drive doesn't need to spin anymore. Thus eliminating one of the only moving parts of the system.

I've been a xbox guy this whole current gen but I just think PS4 will edge out Xbox One this time around. I also don't want to reward MS for the flip flopping they have done on this console. Ill eventually get a One but maybe not at launch.
Same here. Eventually went with the PS4.
I would love to grab a 1 at launch as I'm a HUGE XBOX guy. They simply aren't offering me anything other than a higher price. I do want to play Dead Rising 3 so that's a bummer. All the movie and voice stuff I could care less about.
Not slamming the system, just saying I'm simply not their target audience.

One they drop the price I'll probably jump. Right now though it's on my wife's list of things I want for X-Mas/Birthday.

      We'll see.

What about the Kinect needing to be connected at all times and now flip flopping and saying that isn't the case? They designed a console to always have the Kinect connected and now in a couple of months they will change the whole design of years to make it on release this year. That could cause some problems IMO.

I doubt that having Kinect being connected is a hardware issue. They can make the change via a software update, no need to physically change the design.

Actually, if the controller's only receiver was in the Kinect (as was thrown around in this thread) then it is a hardware change if it now doesn't need to be connected at all.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but for anyone still looking for a system at launch Target started taking per orders for $10 down

                This was my point.

To change something so drastically in just a couple of months after years in development spells trouble for me IMO. Don't get me wrong I love my 360 and xbox live and am not a sony fanboy at all.

In one of the videos with Major Nelson when they were discussing the controller they mention that the play and charge kit basically turns it into a wired controller. So if anything did happen to your Kinect you would still be able to plug in the play and charge and use your controller. Also, if you're worried about the latency with a wireless controller you'd be alright since you can just plug it in.

That would be a change from this gen, since wired controllers only charge from the play and charge.

Yeah, it is a change from this gen, I vaguely remember reading an article that talked about this.

Saw an article that says that Rare wants to revive Conker, Viva Piñata, Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark on the Xbox One. And they would actually use a controller as well as Kinect in some capacity.

^^^So I take it this has to do with why AMD came out and said that what was posted in the big PS4 spec article wasn't true (regarding the Xbox One) since they couldn't comment on it themselves.
