I'm really trying to make since of all this. But bottom line I just don't see Bill Gates allow someone to come in and just destroy a company he spent decades building up. I also don't see MS selling off Xbox just like that. I'm not really worried about XBox division going anywhere time soon. Because Xbox is one of their main cash cows. If it happens. The worst that can happen is either some other person buys it and make it work or everyone jumps the sinking ship and jump over to PS4. There is our options for the future.

Worry about it when it comes.

There have been predictions all year (seriously, at least dating back to January 2013) that MS is going to (or at the very least) should spin-off/sell-off the XBox division, along with Bing. From a strictly numbers standpoint, that would be smart. Obviously everything in business is interwoven, so I don't know how it would work out in the long run.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do... but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't either. Just not enough concrete information to go off of right now.

I can't imagine it happening either, but there have been a few reports saying that the Xbox division is losing Microsoft somewhere between $2-4 billion dollars per year, so it's more like a money pit than a cash cow for the company. If that were true, then maybe that's why they might want to sell it off.

People think that Microsoft is in competition with only Sony which is not true. It also sounds like Sherlund, who is most respected by many of the higher peers is strongly suggesting this. Google, the cable companies, and even Steam are offering cheaper, and some would say better alternatives. And with Microsoft behind Sony thus far with NG, this is sounding more plausible.

Another positive preview of the OS from Ars-Technica.

Overall, my short time with the Xbox One's system interface made me eager to try the system out in my own home and see if its voice commands and multitasking features could actually make Xbox One the only input I need on my TV. Before the demo, I was leaning toward "no" as an answer to that question, but now I'm leaning a little closer to "yes."

Well my son and wife want the Xbox One for Christmas. So it looks like I'll be keep my Best Buy pre-order for 11/22 this month.

Doing it where it makes sense to. Taking advantage of retail deals bur.games I play a lot I'll pay a premium to go digital, especially on PS4 for remote play reasons.

I am looking to go digital...haven't seen much on it though. I don't keep games like many others so if there is a trade in deal for them i'm all for it. Only games I keep for multiple years are fighting games so wouldn't have to worry about them on my HD

Wouldn't be able to do it with a non-replaceable 500GB Hard Drive. Just not for me, the console game isn't ready for all-digital yet (even by choice.)

That's just for me personally, though. For those that don't get many games it's a fine option.

Is there a way to trade your digital licenses? My only problem with all digital, is that Amazon does such a good job of being better than GameStop for trade ins. Particularly for me being an avid sports gamer and the yearly cycles. I would much rather trade in last years version and get $10-15 for them towards whatever else I will eventually buy from Amazon down the road. For some titles though I think the ease of digial DL is the way to go.
