I can tell by this and your post after what Mestevo said in the PS4 thread that you have something against Microsoft, which has nothing to do with why I and more than likely he said what was said.
At the same time, you kind of proved my point at the end there. The Europe stuff is what I would expect more of. The rest of the stuff mentioned seems like it could have been done just as well through news outlets. The best thing they did that wasn't Euro specific/price related besides announce the date, imo, was the remote play portion. It was nice to see it in action. The rest felt rehashed to me.
And the Vita as a stand-alone system still is on life-support till further notice even with this conference. But that's another story.
I just feel like besides the date, which as you said was the main attraction today for most, it felt like this platform was bigger than what was necessary. Not saying it's a negative, but I just feel that for most of the info today, neither company needed a conference like this. aholbert's reason and the date are really the only things they might have needed this platform for.
