Vita Games (Big Fest, Borderlands 2, Football Manager 2014, etc) for one, I think that was impressive to see that announcement that Vita isn't dead.

Vita Drop in Price along with Memory card drops in Price.
Working online and remote play - Along with some extra launch title and free games available.

Deals with broadband in european market that would allocated bandwidth specifically for PS4 and increase their speeds

Oh... And Actually delivering a DEFINITE release date instead another range of dates -- Which is all every one really wanted to hear anyways. Wasn't that bad of a presentation : Actually had the release date, vita news, new launch games/exclusivity, and some euro perks.. What were you really expecting a new design or something they were going to change or turning a complete 180 on their policy or something to be news like that?

I can tell by this and your post after what Mestevo said in the PS4 thread that you have something against Microsoft, which has nothing to do with why I and more than likely he said what was said.

At the same time, you kind of proved my point at the end there. The Europe stuff is what I would expect more of. The rest of the stuff mentioned seems like it could have been done just as well through news outlets. The best thing they did that wasn't Euro specific/price related besides announce the date, imo, was the remote play portion. It was nice to see it in action. The rest felt rehashed to me.

And the Vita as a stand-alone system still is on life-support till further notice even with this conference. But that's another story.

I just feel like besides the date, which as you said was the main attraction today for most, it felt like this platform was bigger than what was necessary. Not saying it's a negative, but I just feel that for most of the info today, neither company needed a conference like this. aholbert's reason and the date are really the only things they might have needed this platform for.

I think the PS4 release date sealed the deal in me getting a Xbox One. Had the PS4 came out late October I probably would not have wanted to wait for the Xbox One. Xbox One here I come.

Microsoft clarifies:
The only countries getting FIFA free with their xbox one preorder are the 7 European "Tier 1" countries (Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain & United Kingdom). The other European countries, who won't be getting the Xbox One until 2014, will not be getting FIFA for free with their preorders. They will still get two games (not FIFA or Kinect titles) if they preordered before August 20, but they will not get any games for free if they preorder a console now.

Still pretty sweet. Two games for the other European countries might be even better. Sucks if they didn't preorder before the announcement, though.

The release dates being so close isn't really a big deal. If one was dropping 6 months to a year later, I would say they would have an advantage, but a few weeks isn't going to be a big deal for either one of these consoles.

No, MS hasn't announced XB1 launch date yet, but PS4 and XB1 are going to release pretty close to each other. I was asking the guy who said if PS4 would have released in late October, he would have went with PS4, but now that's it is two weeks later in the middle of November, he is passing. Two weeks really is going to change your mind?

But what are you going to do if, for some reason, the XBox one releases after the PS4? IIRC, MS never announced an official release date (or did they and I missed something)

Graphics are on par with PC which is a great thing. The lightning is better as are the textures. The colors aren't dull like they are in current gen. The crowd looks and sounds great. If you haven't played a game on console then PC you probably don't think those things make much of a difference. You are in for a surprise.
