I think a ton of people forget how TERRIBLE Halo 2's ending was. By far the worst of the series to me.

Now Halo 1 HD? That would be /drool. Also if they updated it for Multiplayer to be enabled online.

I didn't love Halo 2 for the SP. I am assuming they are going to rehash the MP like they did for Halo Anniversary.

Major Nelson's said he'll have a post up tomorrow detailing the Games with Gold for February...

Here's to hoping something for Xbox One is free now! They have to give us something soon. Also hoping the 360 games are decent.

The 360 games last month weren't bad. I'm hoping they continue that and give us something recentish. I doubt they give you X1 owners something already, but I hope I'm wrong.

If they do anything for X1, it'll be something like Max or Powerstar Golf. It won't be a $60 game. Sony isn't even doing that on PS4 yet.

I'm playing Sleeping Dogs in our bedroom while my wife sleeps lol...not a bad game.

Just feels like PS+ did these games months prior, and that's getting stuff like Bioshock Infinite which is way more recent.

Games with Gold is getting better, just needs to keep advancing IMO. We pay for this, make it more competitive.

Here's the thing. With Sony you need to keep PS+ running, so it's not *quite* giving the games away. MS is giving the game away and you don't need to keep Gold to play it. I have a feeling that's one of the reasons MS is pretty... lackluster, at best, when it comes to the games the give out. I don't know the deals either of them work out with the Devs, but my guess is Sony has a bit better of an offer (due to why/how they are able to give them out) and that's why they can give the newer games.

However, I do always think it's funny when people use "Yeah, but you can keep your Games for Gold if you ever unsubscribe." Everyone that says that in defense of MS would never unsubscribe for Gold.

It's a trade-off, though. Better games that require your subscription, or older games that are dirt cheap anyways but don't require a subscription. I guess "Better" isn't necessarily the right word. Newer games. Sleeping Dogs is a fantastic giveaway for the promo, I just have a feeling that it's already been played by 90-95% of the people that have an interest in playing it since it's quite aged.

I totally get your point. My thoughts were that Sleeping Dogs was a free game on PS+ over half a year before it was on Games with Gold...that's a decent amount of time IMO.

Since I went Xbox One, I'll always have a valid Gold account now...I just find the deals for 40 a year and it's not bad to keep it going. I don't mind that tax for solid networks.

You're right there, most people will keep their gold status. I let mine lapse before I picked Xbox One, but otherwise I'd had Live for years.

I bet you end up being correct though and Games with Gold will lag behind a bit because they let you keep it without Gold.

Its great that their may be a cheaper Xbox one coming out but my feelings towards a disk less console is as follows:



But, its good that their is that "cheaper" option available for people who are looking to get the xbox one.
