Sony just lucked out that they went second and not first in E3 because anybody who thinks Sony was just for the players is eating the home cooking.
They had intentions just like MS but saw the reaction and decided to scrap it. Why do you think there was a huge day one patch on both consoles.

FWIW, the story we heard from people at E3 was that Sony was actually planning to release the PS4 + the eye for $500. Then they saw we went with Kinect + Xbox for $500, knew about the gamer backlash, and made the decision that day to announce PS4 w/o the eye for $400.

Both consoles absolutely require an internet connection, just for the simple fact that most games release in a poor state and require one(or many more) patches to fix them.Comment

Sony is most likely kicking themselves for not releasing the camera with the console for $500 after seeing how much backlash xbox got and still has.
20 million consoles sold with no very little updates to the console and no real hit game??? Those 20 million are cut in half almost if XBOX did not screw up so badly at E3.
ESPN should make a 30 for 30 about this....XBOX will never recover for this gen because they made mistakes and they are trying hard to win people back and slowly they are but is hard to imaging they can get even close.
MS has a perception issue right now with gamers. I still see tons of gamers on videos and forums think that anything xbox one puts out in terms of games is 720p and that it cannot do more then that. For exclusives and multi plats. That is just based on e3 and the first COD game that came out for next gen.
The perception amongsts the gamers who are casual is that XBOX is 720p all the time and PS4 is 1080p all the time.
That is something XBOX cannot deal with because they made a calculated mistake in the design of the xbox one and the choices they made.
Notice how Sony always throws out Glorious 1080p in all their propaganda. They advertise it and it melts right into gamers and casual gamers minds. With the lack of games exclusive to PS4 and in gaming in general anything Sony puts out even if its garbage they will sell.
MS cannot do that right now and might not ever until new consoles come out.
If we get a PS5 and Xbox 2 or whatever name they give it you can bet MS will not make the same mistake and they will come out hard and not allow any console to outperform them.
Only then will they get back the casual gamer who still thinks xbox one is just a 720p console.Comment

Do not see the point in owning either console if you can not connect it to the Internet. Every console I own is always hooked up to the Internet. Day one patch is inevitable for every game.
Pixel thing is so stupid. I don't even bother with it anymore.Comment
