Haha. I knew this was directed towards me. LOL. Except for visuals, there's not much of a difference between Xbox 360/Xbox One and PlayStation 3/PlayStation 4.

I played and completed Black Flag on PS3, Xbox 360 and PS4. Except for more foliage and better visuals, I can honestly say that you're not losing anything by playing the game on Xbox 360 or PS3.

Literally, all games that have been cross-gen have been nothing but visual differences. Everything else is basically the same. Games like Witcher 3, Batman: Arkham Knight, etc. is different because you can only play them on Xbox One or PS4.

Sunset Overdrive is a crazy game that flew criminally under the radar. So much fun and havoc in an open world.

Ori and the Blind Forest featured tight gameplay and a beautiful art style. Probably my game of the year so far in 2015.

I have had Sunset Overdrive sitting on my HD since purchasing the XB1 (came with the white XB1 bundle), and can't seem to get into it. Tried a couple times but for whatever reason the game doesn't click with me. I really wanted to like the game, too.

Ori was a fun experience. The art style was very well done.

I mentioned that the Nemesis system is the only difference in a previous post of mine. Other than that, there's literally no difference in terms of gameplay, controls, mechanics, music, sound, voice acting, etc. It's simply just visuals.

I'm a big fan of visuals myself. What can I say.. I like shiny things!

I've had my XB1 for almost two weeks and and love it so far. I've been trying my damnedest to get through the Arkham Knight, but every time I turn the system on my wife is begging me to play Halo with her so it's been a slow-go of it for the Batman so far.

I plan on jumping on EA Access soon. I haven't played most of those games, so it's a great deal for me. Plus, I get to try Madden before purchasing to make sure the changes are up to par.

Anyway, I'm glad to be a two system owner this gen. There's lot's of good stuff in-store for us on both systems, so I'm glad I don't have to be left out anymore.

I recently sold my 500 GB Xbox one to get the 1tb console last month. I was going to go with the 1TB black console with all the deals going around but then I came across the Forza 6 limited edition console and decided to just wait until September since Forza was the only game i played religiously on my XB1. Nevertheless, i'm looking forward to getting on my XB1 again soon.

I'm a big fan of visuals myself. What can I say.. I like shiny things!

I think that The Witcher 3 is the best looking game thus far on next gen with Batman right behind it but I have realized two things -

1) Games that are cross-gen have their PS4 and Xbox One versions held back from their PS3 and Xbox 360 versions since the developer is trying to get the game to run on all four consoles and thus, goes with the lesser version which in most cases based on last gen would be the PS3 version. Yeah, some cross-gen games look great but they're held back to what they could truly be.

2) Every game that I have played on PS4 and Ryse on Xbox One all have the same thing in common - bad to horrible pop-in from tree shadows to draw distances to pretty much everything. And it's bad because as good as games like The Witcher 3, Batman and others look, the consoles should be powerful enough to eliminate that.

That's why as much as I love a great looking game like The Witcher 3 especially since the better the game looks, the better the immersion and atmosphere is but at the same time, I would rather have the visuals "downgraded" in exchange for the pop-in to be minimal to non-existent because the pop-in takes away from the atmosphere and immersion of the game's world and I for one, would much rather have the atmosphere and immersion and sacrifice a few extra trees or buildings in order to have that.

Ok so maybe this will be the dumbest question ever and if so I apologize

If I'm using a 4tb external drive as my main drive, under the power options so I want to disable "turn storage off when system is off" option so I can still get the automatic updates and downloads? Or will it wake up the drive for the updates and turn it off after if I keep "turn off storage" enabled

I had it disabled for the longest time with the same thinking. But I enabled it again about a month ago and things still install so it appears it wakes the drive when necessary.

Xbox update today, just preps the console for the Windows 10 release and the wider availability of backward compatibility in the coming months.
