I think both controllers are excellent and the two best console controllers ever. The One controller definitely more durable and has much much better battery life (seriously Sony needs to address this. I have two DS4s and they both die after 3 hours max).

Honestly, the DS4 is my favorite controller ever. I just think it feels perfect in my hands.

I love using both however can't go wrong either way.

I still use my 360 controller on my PC lol

The sticks on the One controller are in a different league than the DS4 sticks, tho.

And this is why it is superior to me...The sticks are the most important aspect of a controller and the triggers are superior as well....

Yeah, I think my controller is defective. The metal surrounding the input slot is messed up. Checked a friends controller and you can notice a difference.

Picked up the new 3.5mm controller last night, it's pretty nice. Feels a little bit better quality than the previous one and the LB/RB buttons are nice!

Haven't tried out the sound quality using the 3.5mm jack yet, hopefully it's better as I've had a ton of problems with my X1 stereo headset crackling and it's very irritating.

            Couple dumb questions

Even tho I'm on a new controller is there a disadvantage to using the chat adapter? I like having volume control right there. Is the sound quality same as plugging straight into the 3.5 jack

I'm on a PC gaming monitor that supports full RGB. Should I keep it at limited because the one recommends it or go full?

I'm not sure it can sound better enough to me to justify losing the mute button and volume controls. I just picked up the covert forces controller. Guy at GameStop told me I couldn't use the adapter. Glad I trusted the advice I got here more than his. You definitely can.

The sound is the same as it streams from the xbox one and you still get the cutoffs at times.. This is an issue on both ps4 and xbox one

Keep it to Limited as most monitors today have the hdmi control like tv

If you have an old school monitor with no hdmi black level control then put it to full or it would wash out

Yup you can use it...Gamestop employees are usually clueless

I cant rock the controller steaming audio because it cracks to much on the adapter or 3.5 jack

I rather buy a cheap TB headset with optical connection

Does hooking up the controller directly with micro usb cord help the headset cracking/cutoff?

                    Edit

I've hooked my controller in via micro usb and there isn't any cutoff during games so far.

The Xbox One controller is good but im sorry, there should be an option to turn off the vibration which in itself makes the controller worse. Seriously, I don't know how anyone can enjoy games with the controller constantly vibrating. That crap turned me off on day one which is a shame since I was really enjoying Ryse: Son of Rome.

The light bar is cool in regards that it's different colors are based on your health in games but yes, there should be an option to turn it off. As for battery life, neither affect me as I always have the USB cable connected. The analogs are placed differently but I don't see how either is a problem.

Both controllers are good but I prefer the PS4 controller because if I have to deal with the constant vibration or the light bar, I rather deal with the light bar as it doesn't prevent me from playing games. The vibration did.

And if any game has "control" problems, it's not the controller, it's the game itself.

I am not a fan of the PS4 controller. The battery is terrible, I hate the sticks and the touch pad. It blocks the options button if you have big hands like myself. The only good thing is that they changed the R2 and L2.

                        Xbox controller feels much better.

                            At launch:

                            DS3 < 360 < One v1 < DS4.

I'd put the One controller about even at this point, given the quality issues and battery life of my DS4s.

I'd probably take the v2 controllers and an elite over both though. A One controller feels great on a PC too, as most games have the button colors and everything.

I meant when playing Ryse: Son of Rome. It literally almost never stops vibrating. Fighting, obviously, walking and running, majority of the time. It's very frustrating and aggravating.
