Re: Xbox One
I hope I am dead wrong, so don't get me wrong. I am getting both consoles. This just really disappoints me. We have to wait and see, but for right now it doesn't sound good.Comment

Re: Xbox One
What is also concerning is the reports that the OS is unstable and crashes out of games frequently. It is sounding like the launch could be very ugly if this is true, seeing as it is less than a month away. I guess they could fix that with a day 1 update. Sure hope so for all my xbox friends.NCAA: Michigan Wolverines

Re: Xbox One
The only concerning part of the whole thing is that the same game is 720 on one and 1080 on another. It has nothing to do with the ability of the xbox. It has to do with its architecture apparently being difficult to work with. This was already rumored but if COD and BF are different then that would seem to support that. There will still be plenty of 1080 games on the xbox, it's just that PS4 will probably have a significant amount more in the beginning because it will take very talented coders until everyone gets more experience with the system to hit 1080. All that is really moot unless you play on a 40" + screen anyway.Comment

Re: Xbox One
My suggestion for you man because I've seen you say these same things in both PS4 and X1 threads, build yourself a PC powerful enough to run multiplats on at 1080p or higher. You are going to give yourself a stroke to be honest. I am just as disappointed as the next guy that native resolution isn't 1080p and at 60fps, but it is what it is. Figure X1 and PS4 exclusives most likely be 1080p.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Xbox One games will be fine, in the long run. PS4 is more powerful and has a more straight-forward architecture. Also, Sony was quicker to get mature dev kits and tools out to the developers. Once the devs get a handle of Xbox One architecture, there will be much more parity between the two consoles.XBL: Mean Greene

Re: Xbox One
the 360 took devs a little to get use to the edram or whatever it was called. If these rumors aretrue I wouldn't doubt if it takes them a bit to get into the swing of it.
as far as the 1080p 60fps the current Gen could run every game at that... It comes down to devs to decide what they want to use resources. Ryse looks stunning and that is only 900 upscaled and had plenty of people fooled till they told everyone it was 900.
I think most of this Gen will try to get larger worlds with more items and less load times while uping the graphics. All of these take resources just because something is 10 times more powerful doesn't mean that all that increased power is going straight to resolution.
but at the end of the day in playing games for the fun factor not the resolution.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I will be getting both systems day one, and my Xbox will be for their exclusives, and I'm sure there's going to be some excellent ones I don't want to miss. Probably in for Ryse and Killer Instinct day one.
Not meant to incite at all. Guys don't get emotional about these systems, be rational. There wasn't much of a gap last gen but there is this gen, and no amount of cloud is going to change that.
If you can get both systems get both, if you can get one and multi plats and best versions of games are important to you I would go PS4. That 720p thing for Ghosts is well past the rumor stage, it's pretty much 99.99 percent confirmed.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Here's the thing, if the OS is supposedly crashing, why haven't we heard or seen anything from people who have attended the XB-1 Events that have been happening.
Those events are running real hardware with game builds on them. Yet we have not heard 1 instance of crashes. I just don't put any stock into GAF and all these "rumors" coming from that siteComment

Re: Xbox One
Talked to a 2k rep at the nba2k event and he said the same thing. Says the games are similar on both systems but prefers the ps4. He also disliked the new xb1 controller. Said the triggers were awkward. Didn't understand that.Comment
