Make no mistake, some people are going to get faulty hardware for both of these new machines. That's the risk you take as an early adopter and with social media of today, things will be magnified. If tomorrow and the days/weeks proceeding we see a lot people experiencing issues, then there's a cause for concern, but right now, I honestly wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Xbox One
Yep....when you make millions of X you're bound to get some that aren't perfect. This is how manufacturing works. Usually they have more time to test and try to weed out the bad ones, but with a console launch some can slip through.

I said that too but people just want to panick on the Internet oh my gosh!

Re: Xbox One
someone in the PS 4 thread posted the PS4 has a current failure rate of .175% compared to the XBox 360's 16% so I don't think it's going to be an issue....Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Xbox One
We know that every year we ask for in game saves for Madden and every year we don't get it. With the new suspend feature (or whatever its called), will this essentially allow us to save a game or "pause" it and come back a day later and pick it up? Can we shut the console off during this time?
What about two games at once? I haven't followed the specs a ton but is it possible to play CoD, suspend it, play Madden, suspend that and go back to CoD?Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

This feature isn't enabled on PS4 on shipping but will be added later, does anyone know if the Xbox one will have it on launch?Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

From Major Nelson's Twitter:

Great news: Access to free games each month is coming for Xbox Live Gold members on #XboxOne – Details coming later in 2014
Looks like they are following PSN's model in this regard. Good for gamers.PSN: Koolie_G

Games should be better too since they have to start fresh. My guess is that it starts off with a few indie games.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Xbox One
finally. MS stops scheming off LIVE users. ONly took them two generations to do so. If you're going to put a paygate on my internet, at least add some features#dairyfreeComment

Re: Xbox One
I think the biggest feature MS offered with XBL was a robust online service that drew customers despite its cost. There is a reason they didn't have to resort to giving away games until now.
I think PSN+ is an awesome deal, but it has to be terrible for Sony. Over and over we see people saying they will wait for the free version of games, or that they aren't buying anything new because of their pile of free games.
I don't expect PSN+ to be nearly as good of a deal moving forward. This was mostly to get their base on board for paying for multiplayer. I could be wrong, because it is hard to go back once you start giving stuff away.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Yet another reason why gamers should be all for competition. Without MS coming out of the gate with the online feature from last gen Sony might not have put as much effort into it and when Sony came out with PS Plus and added a TON of value it has made MS have to add more value to Xbox gold..I love it because it's making both platforms better!!!!Comment

No, the same gold account will work for both systems and you can be logged into both at the same time under the same account.Comment
