Just bought one from some dude outside GameStop. He included a bunch of games with it. The guy only charged me $600 for all this stuff (what a dummy)!

Like I said earlier, got there at 5:15'ish to finalize the purchase & get my place in line. I'm #12. There were quite a few folks behind me. The guy said they received 6 non-per order units but the people in front of me quickly claimed them.

Cool. Not too far from me in Alexandria and I stop by there (Pentagon City) a lot on the way back from work in Chinatown. I figured that place would be packed since it's so metro & bus accessible.

Yep so when Amazon re opened pre orders yesterday more pre orders went through than was available. so they are emailing people to let them know, and to make up for it they are taking $50 off the order. They said I may experience a 1-3 day shipping delay but mine says "shipping now" so IDK. They are just shipping those people standard editions. I can live with that. I have 1 day shipping and its still estimated to arrive tomorrow.

I got the same deal but my $50 is in promotional credit. I have no idea how to use it or even see where it is on my account.

Yeah I'd really prefer to plug it into my surge protector, is there a reason why they say we shouldn't or just their preference?

I had no idea the 360 wasn't meant to be plugged into surge protector and never had any issues so unless there is an actual reason I'll be plugging mine into my surge protector when UPS delivers it tomorrow.

I just found out today that my buddy has been camped outside of Best Buy since Tuesday so that he was first in line. I haven't seen him because him and another buddy have been swapping places so they could each go to class. I'm 99% sure he wasted his time because he's the only person that's been there since about 8pm tonight.

GameStop runs their launches like pros. Was 12th in line. Walked out system in hand at 12:05am.
