Re: Xbox 720
Quick question:
What ever happened with Kinect 2 having these capabilities? Is this something that any of the new games are incorporating? Are things like the stars and other visualizations something that can be accessed and used by the user? For example: would I be able to stream music and illuminate my room with stars/visuals like at the 1:00 mark?
I really loved this feature but never really heard anything about it since those videos first surfaced.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Yeah, that was never part of or connected to the Kinect 2, at one point it was said it was being worked on as a product to hopefully put on a coffee table.
Personally if it had enough general apps and support I'd buy an inexpensive projector and stuff to create that setup if it were possible for consumers to do so, it looks like it would be amazing.Comment

Re: Xbox One
MM Boost:
Sony Hype machine. Ish has been on turbo since E3. I think someone pointed this out in this thread, Xbox1 is definitely for adults, it's being marketed to adults, so maybe it's not hip or something. Idk.

Re: Xbox One
So are we basically saying the XBOX One=PS3 and PS4=Sumwhat 360 as in audiences?Comment

Re: Xbox One
JRoze,
Idk, but I've definitely seen what MM Boost is referring to. I'm pleased with my Xbox1, and that's all that matters. The Kinect is really good and provides a distinct console experience. I

I loved my Xbox, I LOVED and still love my 360, so I went with the X1 first on the next gen. Am I missing something? Re: Xbox One
There are plenty of valid reasons that the XBone gets panned. The PS3 got slammed nearly as hard, for quite a bit less. It's just the way things work in the industry.badComment

Re: Xbox One
Either way though, MS brought this on by not knowing the consumer well enough and having a confusing reveal. If they didn't have to backstep then they wouldn't be thrashed quite as much in the media.
In the long run it probably won't matter much.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Xbox One
I'm not here to turn this into an us vs. them sort of thing, it's not my intention.

Re: Xbox One
There are people giving impressions/ reviews of the Xbox1 without even hooking up the Kinect! Cough PressRowPodcast Cough, so I think as someone mentioned earlier, at times it's been a Lynch mob mentality with the sentiment of the Xbox1.

If I were to buy an XBone, I'd be playing it without the Kinect so those would be the reviews I am interested in - though every review I've posted in here (and read) all had the Kinect hooked up and went through the motions with everything which is the proper way of doing an actual system review.
Now if they reviewed the system itself without hooking the Kinect up... well that should be a separate review.badComment

Re: Xbox One
I'd have to say video game reviews and everything shouldn't have to hook up the Kinect, unless it's a Kinect game. There's no need to.
