So my Xbox One was getting a E303 error code. Wouldnt boot up. Im like WTF is going on, what happened, and why didnt anybody say anything cause usually we use the Xbox One for all media purposes instead of our PS4. What do I find in the disc slot ? MLB 14 The Show. Its working now but im like WTF.

It's something we've looked at. The biggest problem is that with just IR blasting, it'd take a complicated UX and would be flaky. We'd need to look at other techs to really do this well.

Yes, MKV support was announced for the media player app.

Thanks! I do it because I enjoy it and felt the same as you when members of the development team for games came here. You guys are also pretty great and much more reasonable than most others forums...which is the reason that OS is the only forum I visit anymore.

Yes, MKV support was announced for the media player app.

They announced it, but I don't think it's working yet. I tried a few different MKV files, and it said it couldn't play them. I looked on the Xbox Preview forums, and somebody said it's something that is coming in the future. Other files are working great, though. I watched a movie on MP4 last night and the media player worked flawlessly.

Ah, I see. Yeah, just like only USB support is in the preview now (IIRC), MKV may not be there yet. Stuff can stay in preview for more than a few weeks though, before it goes fully public.

Press+hold the power button on the console for ~10 seconds. That's a hard power off. It should work fine when it comes back up.

Activity feed updates: We’re adding new ways for you to interact with friends in the activity feed. The interface will change to a single column scrolling list that is longer and includes more content. We’ll add the ability to post text to your feed, and to “like” and comment on feed items. Decided to hold out for a bit on Diablo due to Madden this week. Not sure if I was going X1 or PS4 anyways, probably PS4 due to the exclusive themed rift.
