I like the Xbox one interface. If you update the game after install it seems to move quicker too. Just decline the update when you initially start the install. Ryse was fun. Much better games out there though.

Have to disagree with the interface. PS4 is bad but Xbox One is worse in my opinion. Xbox 360's interface is far better than both which is kind of sad.

I downloaded and installed the system update. For Ryse, does the update have anything to do with the single player campaign? I declined the update because it said it was required to play multi-player which I have no interest in so if the update doesn't do anything for off line single player, then I can simply avoid it as I won't need it.

With new consoles, I always try to play at least one exclusive game from the launch titles. For PS4, it was Knack and for Xbox One, it's Ryse. I'm not expecting a classic but it looks great, love the setting and the executions are brutal so im looking forward to playing it.

Exclusive wise, I'll probably buy Ori eventually and im waiting for State of Decay in two weeks. Had it on 360 but never played the DLC so why not play it again? Other than that, nothing really on the horizon for me.

My favorite launch exclusive was Dead Rising 3.
Favorite exclusive so far is Sunset Overdrive.

I don't find much different between the 360 and one interface at this point. One just feels a little newer and polished to me. I have no idea how to turn off the vibration. I'm guessing it's in controller settings. I've never tried.

Yeah I would probably agree with this. Much more to dead rising than Ryse. Ryse was good for a quick play through. Multiplayer in Ryse was also fun. Not sure if there is much of a player base at this point though.

              And sunset is great.

The store on the 360 was the same until they hit a critical mass of content that made filters more useful. Right now, each filter would have so few titles it soul actually feel like more work to find stuff.

I expect that by the time the Windows 10 stuff hits they will create similar organization tools as the 360.

Basically, look under new releases, and you will find every game in the order it was released, and takes about a minute to scroll through, if that.

You know, don't sleep on Powerstar Golf if you like golf games at all. It's a great little title, and uses you friends list for scorechasing super well. I'm hoping they release a sequel with more characters, courses, and online head-to-head play.

No online play in power star golf was a killer for me. Fun game though.

I still play that one. It's probably the most fun ive had with a golf game.

I'd be so stoked if they released a sequel.

May update is just bug fixes so far, but adds settings (that don't work yet) for steaming games to other services, woot.

Edit: Also, if you're remotely interested in hockey EA NHL is pretty fun, via the EA Access vault.

If you guys like golf games The Golf Club is excellent. It was $11 over the weekend but even at $35 I think its worth it.

I played that a few times when it first came out but havent touched it since. It wasn't as fun to me after playing Powerstar. I didn't like the putting system among other things. I might have to give it another shot.

One of them is meant to be an arcade style game and the other is sim, so its tough to compare. I enjoy TGC because its really unforgiving and theres almost no help given to the player. Other than the odd ridiculous bounce here or there you get what you deserve and I like that.

                                Re: Xbox One

TGC was just too ugly, has wonky animations, and really isn't as hard as it was made out to be.

While Powerstar Golf really is an arcade take, more similar to Hot Shots, it was deeper and more strategic than it appears at first glance. But mostly, it was fun to play and the scores and distances were more realistic than I assumed they would be.

That said, I've been playing a ton of TW13 lately, which is still better than TGC if you play on the highest difficulties and turn off the boosts. What I'm really craving for when RM Golf comes out is the Country Clubs, Play the Pros tournaments, and the ability to play a course wit the real life conditions.

TGC was a nice first try, but they really need to take what earned and learned with the first version and release a more polished product in a year or two. As it is, it's just not fun to play.
