More of the issue is that the games were licensed to be sold for 360, so the publisher/devs need to make sure they can legally offer them as well....

I assume this makes NCAA a pipe dream?

If some older 360 games will be playable on the XB1, it would assume the Gears games will be, so what's the point of the remaster?

Remaster is made for xbox one and will look much better. GOW Ultimate Edition Beta looks much nicer on my xbox one then x360

Graphics update. Runs at 60 FPS in MP. Includes all DLC Maps + Maps and story missions from the PC version.

I'm unsure if they're making any gameplay any gameplay adjustments from Gears 2 or Gears 3.

its a remastered edition kinda of like tomb raider and last of us did for 60

Or God Of War is doing on ps4

And you also get the beta code for gears 4 online multi

The remaster is just gears 1...They are not remastering 2 and 3

At the time though, those games weren't backwards compatible, that was my point.

Wasn't all of gears 1 DLC released free or free after awhile?

I get the idea though, just seems weird timing to announce it when you just announced backwards compaitable games for the XB1.

After playing the beta it's worth the 40 just for the graphics update. Just plays so much better. They are also putting things into the game that you could only do in the later gears.

I chalk it up as a move to pad out Microsoft's fall/holiday lineup (see the Rare collection) and because they can't put out a proper Gears 4 this holiday (see botched MCC).

Taking advantage of a free week of EA Access has allowed me to test games I would otherwise never play. I learned Titanfall and Need For Speed: Rivals (awful) are not for me. FIFA 15 on the other hand is a ton of fun. A bit of a challange not being much of a soccer guy and you appreciate how far game controls for sports games have come playing a sport you're not all that familiar with. Might even pick up FIFA 16 this year.

Need for Speed Rivals controls are too loose especially since I am comparing it too FH2.
