Am I the only person who bought the play and charge kit for the Xbox One controller? I don't think I've ever used batteries in the Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller. Is it because people don't like the cord? The cord that came with the Elite is nice.

Re: Xbox One
With 2 kids and and the fact that every toy in the house takes them, there's nary a AA battery to be found in my house.
Plugging in the controller as opposed to always needing to find batteries (that aren't dead!) Is just way too easy. Or even better, a charging stand.
The cord is long as hell, and its a one-time buy. Idk what I'd do if I always needed batteries around.

Re: Xbox One
If there are more people like me that do not like the vibration feature in the controller there is a solution, and it's easy. I like Madden 16 but I won't play it on the X1 because I can't turn the vibration off, and I keep false starting, lol. Well last night I bought MXGP2 for the X1 and you guessed it, can't turn the vibration off. So I went to You Tube and leaned how to take my controller apart. Very easy 5 screws T8. Took it apart and took out the vibrators, works great now.
This is the video I watched, he's showing you how to take it apart if you want to paint it. Note you don't have to go through the hassle of removing the sticker I just poked a hole in it instead. Once you get the top off you will see the two wires connected to the vibrators , just snip and you're good. I took mine out made the controller much lighter, if you want the weight leave them in.

Re: Xbox One
You can turn off vibration which I am not sure why since it is integral to providing weight on players movements and hits in sports games and shooters.
But the Elite allows you to turn it off completely for all gamesComment

The known issues are on the Reddit post somewhere, Cortana still very much a work in progress.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Beyond frustrated with the whole Preview program right now.
I get it, it's preview to catch and work out bugs etc... What's going on for me though is a bit crazy. Everything works just fine. However, in the store, it doesnt recognize my Gold subscription, which is valid until Nov 2016. Hell, I even bought a new one month extension today through the preview thinking maybe it's not recognizing due to update to the new platform etc. Same problems. Spent the last hour and a half with support. They've reset my account, had me re-download my profile, had me do a factory reset, all to tell me, well, nothing you can do for the time being. And, won't refund me what I just paid to extend the subscription as a test. The guy says, "I get it, I'm a consumer too. We all like to get what we pay for, but there's not much we can do" Uh... ok. So, then I questioned them on opting out, instead they told me to use xbox.com and the purchases should be fine. Except.... they arent. Because when I DL'd The Crew through xbox.com, it only downloaded a trial, which I assume was due to this issue.
So, they basically left it as, just wait, and hopefully they fix it soon... So, naturally I got a bit frustrated with that response, and i started asking them about opting out, and the process.
Magically, now they're offering to cancel my subscription, send me a code for a free 5 months because that's a proven solution to fix this problem. Guess what... cancel, redeem codes to get my subscription back, and it solves the problem.
So, uh... Why didn't we do that from the start guys?!?!
I get it, there's a process to follow... I'm thankful for the resolution, but if you know the solution that will work, can we just jump to that please?
Now I'm considering option out of the preview, I dont want to have to go through this mess again. If all my games and apps are on an external, I shoudln't have a bunch of mass downloading to do if I opt out, correct?Last edited by brandon27; 06-22-2016, 12:01 PM.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment

If they could make one of these two changes, I think I'd be happy with it.
- Delay the auto-play. Don't play until the user has been on it for a certain number of seconds.
- Allow me to turn off auto-play.Comment
