I do not see EA making an announcement if they were getting just a res bump like the PS4 PRO version.
Yeah I have both X1 and PS4 Pro and even between those two I don't see a huge amount of difference. EA is lazy and don't really optimize their games much and they can always hide behind the 'well we don't want to piss off any one side" excuse, LOL. Maybe Madden this one year for X1X will be different though but I'm expecting a very slight bump from my Pro version that will only be discernible if you squint and/or do a side by side zoomed comparison.

I certainly don't think we'll see any sort of a major difference as we would from say Forza 7 on Xbox One versus Forza 7 on Xbox One X which is what I think some folks are expecting.

Like i said, I hope I'm wrong but i just think some of you guys who are expecting a big difference in Madden are going to be disappointed.

The PS4 and XB1 versions have always looked better on the PS4...That is fact...better AA for sure...

But the main advantage the PS4 has on the XB1 is resolution from 900p to 1080p and some better AA in some games

The difference now is much much bigger...I expect that EA provide a better looking game on the X which can do better draw distance and better texture filtering...that will be noticible in a heart beat

Microsoft uses madden to sell consoles. It will most likely look and play as good as it can on X.

I'm not expecting the level of difference that we're seeing in say Shadows of War, but it's a marketing opportunity, we'll hear all about the resolution and whatnot not matter how big or small the change is.

Microsoft has been slowly chipping away at the Kinect's usefulness and features across its platforms, yet today's news still comes as something of a shock. The company announced today to Co.Design that manufacturing for the motion sensor input device has been shut down.

            Kinect is dead...ceasing production.

We still have them plugged in, but they seem to take longer to recognize what i said vs. Alexa or Google.

Wonder if selling them would be lucrative eventually? Get IR blasters to replace that functionality via remote? Hmmmm.

I’m on the verge of ditching mine. Probably will once the X drops. Ever since Cortana was integrated Kinects been junk.

Which is weird because what’s the point of Cortana without Kinect?

We're retiring ours when the One X drops. The One S is moving to it's spot and the Day 1 is getting boxed up and put away (just not worth giving it away for $75).

We've got an Amazon Echo/Dot in most rooms and I've got a 4k FireTV Stick on order for the last TV that's not connected to them. Soon we'll be able to control our TVs with our Echo devices, just won't be able to control or interface with any of the consoles.

The first Cortana speaker is just now up for order and Google was pretty late to market with Google Home. Missed opportunities.

Disappointing outcome, wish they did so much more with the technology, just kinda pigeonholed into gaming. They could have beat everyone to the home automation punch by a number of years.

Yeah...all good points. I have 2 and not sure what I'll end up doing. They're connected but we really don't use them except to turn stuff on and off. Sucks that it worked pretty well and just couldn't gain traction.

We have a Echo as well, and would just add Dots around slowly. I do like the Xbox for apps, but we could just use the Roku on our main tv as well.

I haven't had much time for gaming aside from Switch, so not in a rush to get a S or X. The Xboxes will be good streaming/gaming device though, with BC and all that though.

Once i get the X, on release day, I want to move my xbox one upstairs in family room for kids and a blue ray player primarily. Can my account be signed into both xbox one and X, or can it be used as a blue ray player without being signed in?

Can't be signed in on both, don't need to be signed in to use BD anyways.

You'll want one console to be your home console, and the other to be the one you're signed into most of the time, that will allow you some semblance of game sharing / not require others to use your account to play purchased content.

Pretty your apps are all fine, don't need to be logged into your account, as it's your service accounts (Amazon, Netflix, etc) that have authorized the console.

I don't think you can be signed into both at once. You can (I think) use the 2nd as a blu-ray player without being signed in...we have my wife's Xbox account added as a family member and I think that works. I forget the exact specifics now. Our Home spot is the downstairs, so that doesn't need to be logged in by me for everything to work...

I didn't like Cortana, I went back to "Xbox" commands. Works smoother to me.
I mainly use it to turn off the box and change channels every now and then.

I adored this game back in the day. I'm shocked they haven't rebooted the series for current gen consoles.

Way better than it did on 360 or OG Xbox. It will be interesting to see how much better performance is on X1X.

Just ordered a 4TB Seagate expansion Drive. Already was running a 2TB docked HDD and a 1TB external drive. Now I'll transfer everything from the 1TB onto the 4TB and a few games from the 2TB too so I can get my 4K updates and just run the 2 and the 4. 7TB total should be enough for a good while.
