Xbox One

After a full 24 hours now I can say without a doubt that I am extremely happy with the purchase of the X. If there is one thing that really stands out I would say the detail of environments in the games. Trees and brush in ACO look incredible. Fired GOW4 back up last night and just started looking at the surroundings and it’s just beautiful. Frame rates are improved as well. Don’t really need to go into the sports titles because the previous posted pictures tell that story. Anyone on the fence I would recommend you to buy if it’s in the budget. You won’t be disappointed.

Can’t wait until The Witcher 3 gets enhanced. I’m debating starting over from scratch on this one.

I just read an article that said if you don’t have an unlimited data plan you may want to check with your provider. Some people have already gone over their limit downloading the large games for the X and are getting charged extra fees.

Yeah...people have a 1TB limit sometimes (or less, depending on your plan). We never go over or come close normally, but when I was re-downloading a bunch of games to systems it climbs up fast. Something to consider for sure.

I feel horrible for those with data plans for home internet....

I got Fios with 100mb on a promotion and no cap....I can download these games easily but would be upset if I had a cap.

Can you guys go to friends place that no cap and download them there on an external to make sure you always have them and not worry about it in the future?

Hey Camp, if you have Rise of the TR it has the patch now so try it and tell us what you think...It also has HDR

I was debating starting ROTT over but I don’t have a ton of time so I may just finish my play through and move on to Assassins creed.

You cannot see anything crazy plugging an OG xbox one to a 4K tv vs an S...

I have an S and a high end Sony 4k tv and games in 900p are full of jaggies even on HDR

Comparing 1080p tvs is vital because MS is showing that those with a 1080p set which is the majority can get big benefits over base XB1 S

And it is showing that well

For 4k tvs...if you plug in the witcher 3 on the s to a 4k tv and than switch it to the non patched version of the game on the x...You will see an improvement based on just the raw power....but the tangible evidence is the enhanced patched version on 4k tvs

The X can do 4k easy but is up to the devs to leverage the power how they want...Some prefer to use better textures or get better FPS or effects and sacrifice 4K native rez and use checkerboard....

The console has huge power....If a game looks equal to ps4 pro is because the PC version also runs the same...Kinda of like Fifa 18 who made the game based on one architect.

Most games that are multi plats will look much better on the X...and that is a huge get for MS

Honest I'm still not blown away, and also why didn't they put the X up against the ONE S since that has HDR and Up-scaled to 4k, Id like to see that compassion to the ONE S in HDR and A 4K TV since it upscales. Don't compare it to the Original ONE

You are missing the point. That the XB1X produces any improvement on the graphics of an XB1 on a 1080p TV, let alone that much, is remarkable.

It's only relevant if you are considering and XB1X and still have a 1080p TV. But I thought it was darn impressive.
