And man I don’t know what the new update did to halo 5, because the game was amazing out the gate, best graphics I have seen in any game to date, but the size got bigger at 109 GB, and gears was leading the pack at 106gb. Wonder what the update did . If never bought halo 5, now is the time

Is the update only if you have the newest console? I just popped in Halo 5 and was never prompted to download an update.

I read a few instances of the console shutting off and not coming back on. The first day I had mine it shut off while I was viewing ea access. It turned right back on. It’s been fine since and I’ve had it on all day a few times.

Halo 5 was one of those games that instantly stood out as far as graphics. Everything looks so sharp and clean and the textures look miles better.

I bought Halo 5 when it came out and never played it. I have been playing it on the X and I'm hooked! I like the switching back and forth between Master Chief and Locke.

So I need a recommendation here if you guys can help me I would really appreciate it...

I recently came into some money and have been wanting the One X, but I need to ask myself if I should really get it. Here's my current situation:

I have a 4K TV with HDR, but its HDR Pro, not 10. Which I still think it makes everything look a bit better, but that's besides the point I guess.

I have a PS4 Pro, which I will not be getting rid of due to MLB The Show.

I have an Xbox One S. I don't use it much because I play most games on PS4. So I would most likely trade it towards the X.

So I guess what I'm asking is it worth getting the X when I have the PS4 Pro? Is the difference really that noticeable? I am more than willing to start paying most games on it if that's the case.

Would it be a good investment? I guess I mean will the games graphics/fps/and just continue to improve as time goes by when devs unlock the true capabilities of the system? And to the opposite of that, is the PS4 Pro basically tapped out power wise? I hope that makes sense.

                Thanks in advance.

Honestly, without at least HDR 10, you probably aren't going to get the same impact that you are reading from others in the thread. Unless you are really hankering for Xbox exclusives, I think you are better off waiting.

If you get a new TV with HDR 10, then the X makes a lot more sense, and you might be able to pick one up cheaper later.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't really think the difference between the PS4 Pro and the One X will be that noticeable to me. Thank you.

I think it will be a most worthy investment. From the S to the X is a huge improvement. I don’t think the PS4 is tapped out power wise, but if friends aren’t a factor, you will be gaming on 3rd party games for sure. I love my X, great system, I replaying many games I haven’t beaten and have a huge backlog of new games and I took a peak at them all and man do they look great. Like a brand new system. Meaning wow

So far I’ve noticed the games look better. For instance madden alone is higher resolution which looks sharper and runs a lot smoother compared to the PS4 pro. The better frame rates alone is a big upgrade for me. And this isn’t even mentioning HDR.

If you have a pro and a tv without hdr 10 might as well upgrade the OneS to the X too. Make the pro your “exclusives machine”.

My tv is 4K UHD does not have HDR and I’m blown away by how good games look on the X. Madden ,Gears 4, Halo 5, Forza 7 , Rise of the Tomb Raider, Wolfenstein 2 all look amazing and it’s a noticeable improvement over the Pro when I compare the same games on both like madden and ROTTR, and I love the be pro.
