It just occured to me that on top of the free online play, actual free games, free sales and all that other stuff Steam now pays you $5 a month (through cards) instead of the way around.

What game are you playing that gives you enough marketable stuff to sell for $5 each month? Once I got through my initial card drops for all my games I don't think I've gotten another one since.

In theory it qualifies you to earn packs as other people craft badges, but that relies in you playing games that are popular enough that it's being done regularly. I got a pack from Borderlands 2 during beta I think, but nothing since.

Certainly not gaming enough - or playing the right games - to earn more than a couple bucks/month.

I've read you can just open the game and alt tab for a bit and do whatever and the droppable cards will come in eventually and that's what many people are doing for those.

I got 22 or so games that have trading cards, I've got them to the point where I could get booster packs for all of them, but I've only got 1 pack so far, Borderlands 2.

So I'm sure it's a great game for those that enjoy soccer though.

Total for cards so far,not one single game. I'm not even through my initial ones and have made about $5. I've got $2.97 right now and adding in the stuff I spent I'd have $5. Seems to be about a 75 cents per game average. It'll slow down later I'm sure. Also yes,I left a bunch of them on in the backround.

Touche` --But never said it had to be action packed. There's a ton more going on in Soccer I admit.... Just the product it produces isn't for me.

My man issue is the time investment and learning curve. I could ge tit down, and that's what the beauty of it is, but it'd take a lot of time and I can't say I have that.

At the other post, I definitely should've jumped on it at 9.99, can't believe I missed that one, and here I was thinking I saw every single deal lol.

Hopefully it goes on sale soon, I just got paid and some extra income but I can't afford to drop full price on it, even if it is truly worth it.

My soccer knowledge is pretty slim, so learning that as well adds to the curve.

They added FM Classic to the game this year which is a pretty handy feature for those who don't want to/can't spend the time on a full blown save game.
