I had my fun with Awesomenauts... the problem with that game is that some people like to take advantage of game design and kinda ruin the game... that and Genji is completely OP... other than that its a good game.

back on topic, I think Xenonauts will be available for purchase later on today if anyone played the original X-Com ufo defense and is looking for a spiritual successor this might be the game for you.
(just realized how much naut is in my post... disturbing)

Question for you humble bundle vets. How do I get the sound tracks from the bundle 8? Its says "amazing sound tracks included with most games"
Go to the My Account screen. Click the bundle you want at the very bottom under "All Your Purchases". Click whichever HB you want the soundtracks for. Next screen should be the download screen and Steam keys. Under the Steam keys, it says choose platform. Change it to "Music".

I got 4 hours out of it. The story is deeper than just put things in and burn them though the gameplay isn't. But maybe to some extent it is,I made an effort to not burn the picture or hug coupon.

I just hadn't finished yet, the bulk of the story is told during exposition.

Oh, and I burned everything. EVERYTHING! Guess I should play through it again, shouldn't take too long second round.

Looks like tomorrow when I get off work I'll be grabbing the Alan Wake stuff. Never played the DLC so looking forward to that.

For the past few hours I've been playing Sword of the Stars The Pit on my busted up laptop since my desktop went down. The furthest I've made it is level 5 out of 30 The sad thing is, that's on normal (there are 4 difficulty levels, Easy Normal something and something else.

It's high quality sprite art, rogue-like survival game in 30 procedurally generated floors. The game will often screw you over, but hey... That's Rogue-like.

Updating my laptop and moving rooms before I continue getting owned by this fun $10 dollar game.

I can't help but feel there's some super secret thing no one has found yet. Partially because it shows up in the Steam folder as "Little Inferno Beta".

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

My second SSD is nearly full, so its time to buy another hard drive. My setup right now is a 128GB SSD (boot disk and system files) and a 256GB SSD for highly used programs and games (Blender, Skyrim, etc.). I've decided its time to add a mechanical drive to store Steam games because of the added space.

Will adding a mechanical drive (2tb or more) result in that much of a performance hit when gaming? If so, any recommendations? I need something that is quiet and somewhat fast, but quietness is more important since my PC is in my living room. I was thinking a Samsung Barracuda, WD Green, WD Blue, or WD Red. And I don't feel like spending another $200 or more for another 256GB SSD. Any thoughts?

You won't notice a "performance hit", you will only notice longer load times. That being said, I'm not sure on which drive to get. I have a 512GB SSD for Windows/Steam Games/Programs I use often. I have a 3(or 2, I forget since my PC is waiting on a replacement mobo atm)TB storage drive for everything else.

Agreed. They suck. The worst for me are the med security bots, the polar bear things that grab you and anything that diseases me. I call game over when I get diseased. Furthest I've ever been still is sub floor 9 -_-

Think I've got a WD Green, I'd go with any of them as long as you don't see recent reviews about bad drives so you don't have to hassle w/ a bad batch or something.

Storage is so stupidly cheap now, down to 100gb on my 1tb drive aptly named 'Another TB' myself so going to start poking around for another drive myself soon.

SSD gives no performance boost whatsoever. Only quicker loading. For the record, usually it is not worth the money to get one for gaming alone because the difference is minimal. The boot time is amazing however. A good 2tb drive will do you wonders for steam games.
