Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Personally I don't, even hooked up to the big TV I just switch the library from list to grid and it works better than big picture mode. Big picture mode has too much wasted space and it's unnecessarily clunkier to navigate than the regular mode.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I'm completely the opposite. I love Big Screen Mode. My computer is also my cable box, HTPC, etc. and sitting on a couch 6ft away from the TV makes reading on a computer tough. When I switch to BSM, its much easier to read and navigate from a distance. The #1 thing I love about it is, once I get into the mode, the kb/m gets put away and I can use my X360 controller for everything (chatting, screen shots, etc.). Its even easier w/ the Logitech K400 as it fits in one of my end tables next to the couch.
The one thing I absolutely hate about Big Screen Mode is the web viewer. Its very clunky like Burns stated and is just a mess. Outside of your friends list, the community pages are awfully integrated.
It comes down to your personal tastes. I love it on the 55" in my living room, but cannot stand it on my 17" laptop.Comment

Lego: Lord of the Rings back on sale @ Amazon for $9.99 (http://www.amazon.com/Warner-Bros-Di...g=hardfocom-20). And the $5 coupon from December works! So you can get it for $5.
Not the $7.49 from the Christmas sale, but still a great deal.Comment

Secret World and Kingdoms of Amalur both on sale for $10 at Origin.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Steam has Hotline Miami for $4.99 this weekend. Also, Steam is running a sale on the entire Square Enix catalog this weekend. Everything is 50% off (cept Hitman) with daily deals. The old Tomb Raider games are 75% as I'm posting this. I'd expect to see a Deus Ex and others for 75% off very soon.

Ok I know this isn't the best place, but can you guys that have played Civilization please help me!? I bought Civ III during the holiday sale and finally tried it today but I had absolutely no idea what to do. I didn't see a tutorial or anything, and couldn't figure out what in the world I was supposed to do at first or at all for that matter.Fan of....
