Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I think Chivalry is better... or maybe more fun?
WotR feels just a bit off, I only started playing this on Friday and only have put in about 2 hours, so I haven't experienced a great deal yet.
They are both good, and I wouldn't feel bad recommending either, but I think I would recommend Chivalry before WotR.Comment

Down again: http://kotaku.com/5988750/not-a-fun-...a-simcity-game
Diablo 3 has nothing to do with this.
It has always online,a large ammount of day 1 DLC and from the vids I watched it also appears to be extremely buggy. It's a very poor showing no matter how you cut it.Comment

What do I know... I'm just sitting here playing it... Uninterrupted even when the server went down for a couple minutes.
I know of 3 pieces of DLC, which is just the deluxe edition content. Would love to see what 'large amount' entails.
As for Diablo 3, its called context.
I've been able to play 8 hours since midnight (including sleep, half a day of work in there somewhere), that's probably 7 more hours than I expected and with no real problems other than how finicky Origin is with friend management.

Annnd more: http://kotaku.com/5988784/hope-you-w...imcity-tonight
It's nice it works for you but you seem to be denying that thousands of others are having problems and writing it off as a non-issue in general when it clearly is a major issue.
Context? Yes they should've known better than to do something as idiotic as requiring a constant online connection.
DLC can have a pass for now actually since it's the special edition stuff. (Like Mass Effect did but still got a ton of crap anyway.) But I'd say there's a good chance it'll be heaped on later.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Or you could just read the SimCity thread and see that people are getting in and playing. Nobody expected a perfect launch myself included, but if you'd like to continue the self righteous chest pounding over a game you have no interest in here's the thread for it: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...d.php?t=539315 (where I posted the same link 3 hours ago)
Meanwhile many of us are playing the game rather than refreshing Kotaku to see what angsty writer has written for the anti-DRM/anti-EA mob this time in between bouts of cutting himself.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Neither of you should of supported that mockery that EA passed off as Sim City
. Play a "true" Will Wright version of the game.
On different note, those of you whom bought Tomb Raider...SPEAK UP! I want to hear some no crap, honest feedback on this game. I was scared it was going to be another Aliens fiasco, so I avoided the preorder.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
The point is, you will have trouble. I mean seriously? Have a waiting time for a game that you bought? If it was free, different story. I want the game but going to wait till EA can fix their servers or make it offline..Comment
