I thought you were just kidding. Sheesh, EA Sports doing PC sports games? PC Gaming must really not be dead after all :wink:Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I swear I remember reading on here before that EA's sports games weren't all that hard to mod before they stopped making them.I'd be okay with crappy ports for PC sports games IF EA allowed/encouraged modding. Look at the NBA 2k series. It is pretty much garbage straight out of the gate. Throw a couple of mods in your 2k folder and you've got one of the best basketball games across any platform.
Also, I'd feel comfortable paying up to $30 for a port of any sports game that allowed modding. For example, I believe Tiger Woods would be a HUGE seller if it was released for $30 with modding tools that include a course builder and club creator. Just imagine the possibilities for any series!
EA is starting to learn the err of their ways I think. The past two iterations of FIFA on the PC were quickly priced in the $30 range and available for $20 during sales only a month after released. The game also supports mods (some great ones out there, which is why it sells pretty well on the PC. I'd play FIFA on PC over the PS3 in a split-second if they'd dump Origin or make it less intrusive.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

They weren't. NBA Live was especially easy. I even figured how to to create stuff for it.
FIFA is very easy to mod now as well. That's why I'm hoping EA Sports slowly gets back to the PC.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Its 50% off right now on Steam. I guess its one of the weekly sales that Steam doesn't advertise on the store front. Sale lasts for another 30 hrs as of this posting.

FOR THE GLORY OF AGATHA!Also, Chivalry (the game jyoung lives by) is half price at Green Man Gaming.
I definitely have gotten my money's worth out of Chivalry. STEAM says I have played it for 24 hours, and I think I paid $13 for it back in the STEAM autumn sale.Comment
