Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I love my Steam account.
After watching the GTA V trailer I thought to myself that it was probably in my best interests to get ahold of GTA IV and the expansions. Went straight to GMG and had a look and started sizing up my options. Got home and checked the prices on Steam and then a thought came over me. "What if I check what games I already have."
They was GTA IV as well as the Episodes of Liberty City waiting there already in my Library from some long ago Steam sale.Comment

That looks cool. Not sure if it's an adventure game or horror game but it'd be fun finding out.Comment

Just nabbed me some LA Noire. For that price it is a done dealComment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
My biggest issue with LA Noire on PC is the framerate lock. Nothing you can do to get better than 30fps. Not really a game killer, but very bothersome when you get used to 60fps and up.
Of note, I just picked up Galactic Civilizations II. Heard it was one of the best strategy games of all-time and couldn't pass it up for $5. I'm on the fence right now regarding Skyrim: Dawnguard (DLC for $10) and F1 2012 (for $24.99). If anyone has inputs, I'm all ears.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Great game so far. The team objective mode reminds me of Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. There's quite a bit more finesse to the combat than I was expecting. You will get owned by just running in and swinging wildly.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I was playing team elimination in Chivalry late last night and it was down to me versus three bad guys. All three charged me at once, I put up my shield to block, and an idiot on the other team swung wildly and decapitated/dismembered both of his teammates with a single swing. Then he was stunned after my block and I finished him off with a morningstar to the face.
Incredible game. Very appreciative to see friendly fire in it as opposed to so many other multiplayer games these days that wuss out.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I definitely recommend using the Xbox 360 pad for Chivalry. If you have a Xbox 360 controller plugged in the game will recognize it automatically. It makes the combat a ton easier to play.
I am getting on now for a few more rounds.
