Free game! Penny Arcade Precipice of Darkness 3

Videogaming-related online strip by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins. Includes news and commentary.

Just enter the Captcha and the Steam key is yours! Game is definitely worth the free price tag. I paid a few bucks for it a month ago and its given me a few hours of fun.

Yeah. I picked up the THQ bundle (Saints Row 3, Darksiders, Company of Heroes + Expansions, Red Faction: Armageddon and Metro 2033) for about 6 bucks when it was going.

          Humble Bundles are awesome.

Also (I don't have any) some of you guys should join MachoMeyers and I playing DotA 2. I think learning the game with a full OS group would be a blast.

Yup, that's how the humble bundles work, with some incentives to pay at or above the average.

Yeah we had a diesel game.

I am seeing a lot more OSers on Dota 2 these days. We need to make this happen. Clan t-shirts and everything!

I don't really know anything about DotA 2, but steam said I owned it already? so I guess I'll download it.

DOTA 2 is free to play. It's not for me though, I don't like RTS

It's following the free to play model.

I figured it would just say free instead of me already owning it though(like other steam free to play games), but I guess it doesn't matter. Doesn't hurt to try it out.

edit: as mentioned below, it's just spectator mode.

Might be because of the beta stuff they've been doing, it's been in beta for some time but not everyone has had access, it had to be granted or gifted I think.

It shows up in everyone's Steam I believe but unless you get an invite its just Spectator mode. I've been thinking about getting into it. I installed it a few weeks back but haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

The only game I've played that can be considered similar is Super MNC, which is sort of a MOBA but also pretty different fundamentally from DOTA2.

Yeah, I used to dislike MOBAs quite a bit. I've found the fun in them recently - and if you have a team (or at least mostly) filled with people you know you seem to avoid the ******* community that LoL made popular.

I haven't had any issues of that in DotA2, save for once on the other team. Spent the whole game talking.

Next time I logged in, the game told me action was taken against him since I reported him

If he was as good as he talked like he was, I wouldn't have reported him.

Friend plays LoL pretty heavily and I've played it a little. Riot tried to recruit me for a job last year, could have been fun but declined because I have friends there but I don't want to move to LA.

Just not a big PVP person in general really. Just for the theme i'll probably try DC's Infinite Crisis.

Y'all shoot me a friend invite and I'll try Dota2 with OSers. I got it a long time ago, but did nothing other than install it. Would love to learn the game.
