It is a lot easier to make it with those graphics though.

To be honest though, I would much rather see indie graphics like The Cave, etc

    but lets be honest:

    Hotline Miami
    Gunpoint

Just those two make the pixelated style amazing.

Nah they'd all be better off being brown color palletted third person cover based shooters where you shoot the guys in cammo or uninventive first person shooters that don't do a single thing different but get endless credit anyway or some combo of the 2 then add zombies, repetitive puzzles,a story snagged from a Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode (who probably snagged it from somewhere else anyway) and top it off with a terrible ending then you'll really be in bussiness.

But since they're indie they don't have a publisher to endlessly hype their garbage so they get good reviews and trick people into thinking they're good regardless of how terrible, uninspired and bland they are. So 2D platforming it is! Which in this case appears to have worked out decently well:

Yeah Rogue Legacy is really good so far. It's basically Castlevania: Symphony of the Night done in a more Medieval setting.

I finally got powered up enough to kill the first boss, and it looks like there are 4 worlds initially, each with its own boss.

Then after you beat the initial 4 bosses, a fifth and possibly final world opens up.

If anyone updates to Windows 8.1, run all the windows updates after (might have a restart or two, when you get a batch of 4 that's it) and Steam will start working again.

Think it's just the final boss in there.
I want to kill the first boss with the miner/spelunker so haven't even done that. I've ventured into all 3 of the other areas to grab treasure though. The one in the basement spit out 3 or 4 bags of money. The Spellsword class was pretty great but I upgraded them in the very next run so I'm not sure what they'll be like now.

Easiest way to kill the first boss is to stand in the lower left corner of the room and just jump attack him to death. He goes down without much difficulty doing that.

Just beat Rogue Legacy in 14:40 having used 127 children. Hard game, but a ton of fun. Highly recommended.

Now beat it in Legacy+ while wearing 5 curse runes.

So I fired up BL and BL2 today and had a question for those that have played both. Why do I get horrible screen tearing with BL1, but BL2 runs perfectly. I realize BL1 doesn't have a v-sync option, but even if I turn it on in AMD CCC, the tearing continues. The tearing happens anytime the scene has to re-draw itself...so when moving forward and back, its fine, but side to side is awful. Any thoughts?

Just probably a driver compatibility issue like AMD has been known to have with done games. Other than that I have no idea. Very odd.

This is going to sound crazy, but I always wish Amazing Spiderman would go on a decent sale. Played it for like 2-3 days from Redbox on 360, and told myself I would wait for it on PC. I've never seen it lower than 34.99.

It runs like crap on PC man, at least on ATI systems. There are workarounds , but it's a PITA to do it every time you want to play. I would actually stick with the console version this time around if you can find it cheap.
                            PS: You guys are great.

Simple matter of BL2 being a far better PC port. Care and effort was taken vs. not.
