Gold Edition does come with G&K. I thought you were just going to get the base game, which is why I made my comment. Gold Edition is definitely worth $12.49 (USD).

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
It was just on sale this last week I believe. Both Steam and GMG far as I recall. Could've been Gamersgate Plus it already had a 25% voucher on GMG multiple times.
On sale here too right now: http://www.gamingdragons.com/en/game...-download.html but I still haven't bought anything from them so can't confirm they're not shady.
And here: http://www.cjs-cdkeys.com/products/G...am-CD-Key.html Also possibly shady but I've actually heard good things.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Yeah, guess I've just been waiting on a ~$20 price to impulse buy it. It's a game I want but don't have much room in my rotation to really put much time into it, so $25-35 on sale hasn't gotten me to bite.
Edit: after poking around, went ahead and snagged it from g2play.net for $21. Bought COH2 there and the points you earn every purchase can knock $ off subsequent purchases, saved me an extra dollar or two.Last edited by mestevo; 10-06-2013, 10:16 PM.Comment

You get some snark from the announcer like "I thought you went and got a new career! Let's go!"
Should be $36-ish.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Funny. That kind of thing is the only reason I've thought about hooking up my Wii... Wii Fit saying 'you haven't been here in 575 days!'
Have you tried the Demolition Derby stuff in it? Demolition Derby for PS1 might be one of my favorite and most played non-MMO of all time. Friends and I put so much into it, I can still see myself driving circles backwards when I close my eyes. That and the Flatout games are some of my favorite racers ever... the first Grid is up there too.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
There didn't seem to be any difference. It's a different track but it's still a normal race, there's no taking people out or anything like that. It's not like Dirt: Showdown.Funny. Yes it is and as mentioned above it expires on the 11th. New releases are usually 25% off again shortly after release.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I played the first race and then dove into destruction derby and played probably 10 races, love it, lol. Need more tracks/venues/AI for a bowl track, or something.
You can take players out, would be neat if damage carried over from heat to heat. Got an achievement for trading paint with every single competitor in one of my 6-lap race!Comment

So Volgarr the Viking is an awesome platformer. The very beginning of the game is literally ripped straight out of Taito's Rastan.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Are any y'all using Windows 8? Everything run pretty smooth?
I got a copy of Windows 8.1 Professional through a professional organization I'm a part of, but wasn't sure whether or not I should upgrade. From what I've heard, Windows 8.1 is MS's way of bring the Windows 8 family to desktop users.
Any thoughts?Comment

No problems at all outside of a video driver issue with a poorly coded Marvel Heroes that was resolved. Are any y'all using Windows 8? Everything run pretty smooth?

Taking that a step further, there's this: Battlefield 4 Beta on PC: Windows 8 vs Windows 7 Performance, No Stuttering, Increase in FPS and MoreComment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I haven't installed 8.1 yet, but haven't had much of any issues in gaming yet on my Win8 PC.
only game that did have an issue for me was Civilization V when I tried it during a free weekend Steam had for it. the game kept crashing after 10-15 turns, but I didn't really care enough for the game to find out what was causing the crash.
some games seem to run smoother to me on Win 8 than Win 7(I'm using an ATI graphics card), but I don't have any real data to back that up, so it could just be my imagination.Comment
