For those thinking about upgrading to Windows 8 when 8.1 is released...DO IT! Runs very smooth and you can pretty much eliminate metro completely. Runs a lot smoother than Windows 7 and I average about 4-5 more fps for every game I've played. Also, I haven't dealt with any stuttering yet.

Nice find; however, I'm having issues I think. So I voted and submitted my votes. When I click the link and login with my GMG account, they sent me a verification email. When I click the link, it says I haven't voted yet with a link to vote. When I click that link, I get the "Thanks for voting...". Y'all getting the same thing?Mafia II or Civ V for free if you vote here: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/joystick and have a Greenman account. (You get a Steam key.)Comment

I did the same thing, was thinking WTF, went through the email link several times, then I noticed the 24 hour thing. Kind of silly to do everything immediately and not put in bold letters "MAY TAKE 24 HOURS TO REGISTER VOTES".Comment

I'm assuming you mean where you put in your green man gaming credentials, you just put them in, it's a register/log in box.
My emailed link worked today, game registered and downloading.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
I have been contemplating getting into PC gaming and was wondering if this was good build for a modest budget. I have a PS4 preordered, but have been thinking abut cancelling it and picking one up at a later point in favor of building a PC.

This was build I saw another site, and was wondering if there were any improvements that could be made to it in this price range. I am looking for performance that would be better than the PS4 and XB1 by a noticable margin. If that isn't feasible within a $600-750 price range , I will just stick with my PS4 preorder.
Could I get away without the aftermarket cpu cooler recommended by this build? Also is the power supply is sufficient for that graphics card?Last edited by mgoblue678; 10-11-2013, 08:25 PM.My Teams
