Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

For some reason it looks like ~70 hours of played time has been added to all of my games on my Steam library.

Edit: restarting steam fixed it. Interesting bug, lol.

If you still don't have Bioshock Infinite (like me), its $9.99 on Amazon.

Dark Matter was released last week.
It was pulled off the store this week because they released it without an ending.

Gone Home is 50% off (10 bucks) on Steam.

I picked it up at that, didn't think it'd get that much cheaper for a while.

Starting in about 2 hours, Path of Exile will be available on steam.

Get it and try it if you enjoy ARPGs. It's fantastically well done (to me) and is the best ARPG released in the past few years. Free-To-Play, and for me to like a f2p game it really says something.

How do I activate single player on it? It says single player is available on the Steam page but I had to login to play and my character name was already taken.

I don't think there's single player, to be honest. I think it's all online, since you have to login and everything to even start.

I thought there was an option somewhere I couldn't find. That's kind of terrible. Turned off chat at least. I also probably should've checked on character slots before picking. I had a look in the store and that's something for sale. Wanted to try out a few. Hope I still can without paying anything.

Valdarez and I played some Path of Exhile a while ago, basically all the hubs/towns are multiplayer, then the enemy areas are just as many as you want to party up with, so to go single player just don't enter into a party. You'll still see people in hubs, but there's no real interaction there unless you want to interact.

BTW, there is a Chrome app called PoE Helper that was really great for inventory management/getting the most out of your loot when you sell it.

Path of Exile was amazing for being F2P. You don't have to interact with anyone at all, so it can be a solo experience if you want it to be. You don't have to purchase even 1 item to enjoy the game to its fullest, although Im guilty of buying extra bank slots.

                            Outstanding game in my book.

I've been playing since the day the beta went live back at the beginning of the year. I started a new character (obviously) for this ladder/league. Character name is Scionoob - feel free to add me in game.

I cant promise too much though, I'm giving this first go round a shot without any type of character build guide in mind and I'm just winging it. First time I did that in beta I had to delete the character at about level 70 because it just wasn't viable. That's the beauty of the game and options though.

I'm working on making this Scion a DEX/STR spectral throw build. I call it the lawnmower as for how its performed so far. Reminds me a slight bit of a d2 Hammerdin, which I loved to do a ton of different MF runs in that game.

Yah I figured that out,I was refering specifically to being able to try multiple classes.

Got into the Hearthstone beta (though I've never played WoW and don't know any of these characters/creatures) so didn't get back to it yet to check.
