Picked up cook serve delicious at $2.45 on a flash sale. The game's certainly worth that.

Case- Cooler Master Storm Scout 2
CPU- AMD FX 6300 3.5 ghz 6 core

Video card- Gigabyte HD 7850 2GB SC
      Power supply- Corsair CX500
      RAM- corsair vengance 8gb (2x 4gb)
      HDD- WD 500gb 7200rpm
      Misc- Tenda Wireless PCI adapter
I know Newegg had a combo deal with very similar parts for cheaper yesterday. Gonna see if I can pull it up.

      Here we go:

      http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboB...bo1515834-LM3A

      MD FX-6300 3.5GHz Six-Core CPU
      ASUS AM3+ AMD 970 MOBO
      Radeon HD 7850 2GB
      Crucial 8GB MEM
      Seagate 1TB HDD
      RAIDMAX Cobra 500W PSU
      RAIDMAX Seiran Case

      Total before rebates: $505.00
      Total after rebates: $465.00

You also get free shipping with Super Egg Saver, or sign up for a free Shoprunner trial that seemingly lasts forever (has for me anyway) to get free 2 day.

You add another 500GB to your HDD with the Newegg deal, though you don't the wireless adapter and of course the OS. You can get a good wireless adapter and still come out cheaper, you can find the OS on the low low as well. Plus with Newegg you get some protection that you won't with buying on Craigslist.

Edit: Had to edit my math, I had other stuff in my cart unrelated.

Didn't mention that with the deal I'd be getting an Asus 24" monitor too...maybe makes it a bit better?

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Up to you if it's better or not. Comes down to how you want to swing it. I'm just giving you another option to think about.

If it was me-and I'm only speaking for myself, not what I would I do if I was you-I would go with Newegg, because I can get the(an) OS for free, a 24" Monitor for less than $160 (the difference between the two setups) and I don't really need the adapter. Not only that, I'd like the idea of getting the stuff new and knowing I have some warranty protection.

Your situation might be different, you might really need the adapter, have to pay for your OS, the monitor you you're getting from the guy on Craiglist is worth more than $160 used etc. Plus you might not like the idea of putting it together yourself for whatever reason. All up to you.

At a point Giant Bomb had me wanting to give Brothers a try. Of course I listened to their GOTY podcasts which means I probably won't play Brothers now.

Brothers will be free for PlayStation Plus members in January.

But I don't own a PS3, so I went ahead and got it for PC while it's cheap.

Assetto Corsa is back on sale for $29.99...still debating on this game. Did any of y'all end up buying it? I've fallen back in love with racing games on the PC since playing the Dirt series, F1 series, iRacing, and Real World Racing. Just wondering if this game is justified by a $30 price tag at this point in development.

I think bcruise picked it up, so he'd probably be the one to ask about impressions.

Not 100% sure, but I believe it was him I saw playing it before.

Get it during a Humble Bundle. Telltale has had 3 bundles in 2013 alone. I'm sure they'll have another in 2014. Plus, I'm sure there will be a killer deal for Season 1 when Season 2 releases...they gotta get people excited.

So got a new rig and I plug it in to the surge protector...boots up and lights up, fans run and everything and then it just shuts itself off and won't come back on.

The clr cmos button is lit up on the back of the tower and on the inside there's a little power button and a button labeled reset both lit up.

I have no clue and any help would greatly be appreciated.
