Saw they put up Quake Live. I haven't touched Quake or UT for a long time, but seems like a good FTP time waster.

I keep waiting for Amazon to stock either the ASUS Strix or MSI Gaming OC so I can jump on the new 970. I was hoping they'd restock soon so I can sell my 770 and get a few dollars back before the 960 gets announced.

Still waiting for this one as well...I was told by Amazon help that 23 Sep should be the day, but nope.

Maybe this is a sign that my 7850 is still good enough and I can save some money until the next release cycle.

I'm really surprised that there's no console release. As far as I know, this is the first Gauntlet game not released on a console of some sort?

All of the friends that I'd play this type of game with (and with whom I played the old Genesis, N64, and PS2 Gauntlets back in the day) are now on PS4.

I also heard that the PC version only supports Xbox 360 controllers officially, which makes it even tougher to get four-player games going.

Surely a PS4 version is in the works?

Hey guys I'm in the process of building my first computer rig (last gen console games, sports titles in particular really turned me off). Is this where I should post to get opinions about a proposed build? If so I'll post me specs.

There is also a "I want to build a gaming PC" thread.
                  Good info there as well.

Picked up the Alpha version of "The Long Dark" tonight.
It's a pure survival game....just you after a plane crash in the harsh winter of Canada in the wilderness. It's a post apocalyptic game...but I don't think the event that triggered it has anything to do with the game other than everyone is dead....except you....(you were in a plane)..and wildlife.
Just sandbox mode now....there is a story mode to follow.
                      VERY hard game to survive.
                      WOLVES SUCK!

                      $19.99 on Steam.

Y'all should check out Bedlam on Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...negames/bedlam). Looks pretty solid. Its a rogue-like RPG with unique graphics and battle system.

Pillars of Eternity has been delayed to 2015.

If this were an indie kickstarter project I'd be concerned right now. With Obsidian running the show I'm not. Take the time and get it right, South Park certainly benefited from the extra dev time.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this but I was wondering if there was any good editing programs on the PC that would allow me to edit video clips and piece them together. Nothing major, just simple stuff.

I'm making videos on my xbox one but it limits you to 5 minute clips when editing. Also to record those 5 minutes you need to keep it snapped so I was thinking of just using the twitch archive to record and save to PC and then edit it on PC. Perfer something cheap or free.

Wasn't sure if this belongs here or another thread, but fry's is having a screaming deal. If you have signed up for the weekly ads that is. If not sign up and hopefully they send you it(deal is good from now till 10/7/14). This cpu is listed with the code(you get an unique code on the email) for $498(on the link it says $698 before code). I bought this same spec rig (except mine is a lenovo) for about $1k almost 9 months ago (got tired of building my own rigs all these years lol).

I gave my code to my brother so he could buy it. I have no problems running all these games with the video card I have. All ultra settings and such. I will say if you are looking for a cpu and you know someone that is already signed up with frys and gets ads and will give you the promo code, ask them. It's pretty much a screaming deal. Like a damn black friday deal.

Even though I have Sony Vegas I tend to use Windows Movie Maker Live (it's free) for simple quick editing.
