Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Depends on what you are looking for.
WoW is king, and will be for a long time, because nothing out there can touch it in terms of being "current" and having a boatload of content to go through (all the old raids, achievements, mounts, dungeons, etc.)
FFXIV is gorgeous, polished and basically a love letter to fans of Final Fantasy (TRIPLE ****ING TRIAD CARD GAME IS ADDED ON TUESDAY I CAN'T MOTHER****ING WAIT) that enjoy the WoW style gameplay.
There are plenty of F2P mmos out there that aren't worth any real time, but can be an entertaining distraction for an hour here and there.
The choices are endless, and we're talking about my bread and butter of gaming here, so I won't drone on and bore you. You can always ask me on Twitter if you have any specific questions.badComment

Guild Wars 2 was my poison pick. I played that for a good 6 months and really enjoyed getting tons of content for no subscription. I might have to come back when the expansion drops.Comment

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Yeah, the 600W SFX should power that 290X with no issues. I'd be careful with a 290X in a HTPC if its an ITX case, but if you are in a ATX case you should be fine. Also, how much do you value noise in your living room environment because the 290X will also produce a decent amount of noise from the fans spinning to keep the card cool.
I was finally able to return my 970 to Newegg and picked up an EVGA 980 SC ACX 2.0.Comment
