That feeling when you get your computer put together and running, and every game defaults to Ultra.

Took advantage of the Humble Bundle. Can't wait to see how Far Cry 3 looks.

Company of Heroes 2 worth $8.74 (USD)?

I loved the first one, but I'm hesitant about the second one since it seems very multiplayer focused. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Earth Space Colonies - It is like a much better, deeper version of Planetbase. Early access - $12.59

Earth Space Colonies is a strategy-simulation game where you build space colonies around the Solar system. Establish a first self-sustaining colony on the Red planet with ultimate goal of terraforming Mars. Play three story campaigns all at once: terraform Mars, fight on Ceres and explore Ganymede.

Helliborne - Helicopter game entered early access today. - $9.99

Rotary-wing aviation and helicopter combat with a dynamic battlefield and the support of ground forces. Appreciated for MMO elements and an addictive gameplay loop. Use tactics and make strategic decisions or fly around and shoot in historically accurate maps.

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 - IF you liked Arma, this game is for you. $29.99

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 features new single player style skirmish modes that take players from extreme tank combat to deadly sniper stealth missions. Commanders can now faceoff against opponents on various new multiplayer 1v1 – 8v8 maps.

If you like playing others online, its awesome. I've enjoyed it a lot, but don't buy it for the singleplayer.

Heliborne looks neat, wish it wasn't just PvP though. They want to add some single player and other content post-launch. Will be interested then.

Men of War Assault Squad is a great set of games (1 and 2). However, I'd recommend waiting for a sale because they are always between $4.99 and $7.49 each.

NBA2k16 was free for the weekend, played through the first year of the my career mode.

My first time playing since the mess that was the VC-addled 2k14, looks like I can wait another couple of years to play it again.

The Spike Lee stuff was just brutal and predictable. Kept waiting for the ability to influence the direction my career was going but instead was stuck on rails watching stereotypes play out.

I wish I was more into basketball, as I understand the association mode has a lot of the stuff I wish was in Madden.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

                    I purchased a 360 wired controller yesterday.

I was having a hard time getting my laptop to recognize my PS4 controller, even after trying a few different controller profilers.

It worked right away and now I'm on my way to playing through the Batman games from last gen. I'm not much of a fan of a lot of puzzles, but the story itself is pretty fun and I love the Batman "Universe". I'm glad I can start digging into the backlog of games I've purchased for dirt cheap on steam. I'm just not much of a mouse/keyboard gamer except for RTS and builder games.

Anyone have any opinion on Company of Heroes ? The reviews seem pretty good.

Edit: NVM. I just looked up. I was hoping it had fun offline gameplay.

I've got 100 hours into Company of Heroes all multiplayer w/ friends vs AI. Fun game and good mechanics overall.

I play those kinds of games for the skirmish modes. It's why I'm largely disappointed in what I've seen of Grey Goo, Ashes of the Singularity and the new Homeworld ground RTS. After the fun Command and Conquers our last good RTS was the Supreme Commander series it seems. Planetary Annihilation fell kinda flat for my group and I.

Should be simple question from PC gaming newbie...if I buy boxed XCOM2 from Amazon (for prime discount) is it basically just a DVD and Steam Key? Will it show up in my Steam library?

It will be just a DVD or 2. You would have to manually add it to your Steam library. I remember I bought Dragon Age Inquisition, that game came on 6 dvds. When that happened, I said never again will I buy a physical PC game.

                              This was unexpected.

Investigate murders, search for clues and talk to your classmates to prepare for trial. There, you'll engage in deadly wordplay, going back and forth with suspects. Dissect their statements and fire their words back at them to expose their lies! There's only one way to survive—pull the trigger.
