Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
It's how I justified a 980 Ti, but probably won't make the leap until Vive and Rift are released and we know more about PSVR.

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Snagged Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor GOTY off of GMG on sale for $9. I played it on the PS4, but I'm excited to see how much better it looks and runs on PC.
Side note, ever since building my PC, I've spent MAYBE $50 total on games through sales, and that has amounted to quite the library of games already. There are so many sites with incredible deals on PC games that it's mind boggling.
My wallet is already frightened for the first big Steam sale.Comment

Same here. I always try new tech so I'm sure I'll get it. IF I ever build a new PC then I'll probably jump on the Oculus train as well. Seen many game videos on YT and it seems like it adds a lot to the experience, which is why I game.
That's a big if as far as the near future.Joshua:

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
For games like Euro/American Truck Simulator or any racing games, the VR looks like it adds a lot to it and all I hear is that it is worth it. I've seen videos of games like GTA as well and it looks amazing. I just don't feel like dishing out as much money as they cost for one now, but would like to have one for driving games alone.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread
Anyone tried Stardew Valley? Everything I read about it screams Harvest Moon which is a good thing to me.
I'm not getting it right away though - too deep in XCOM 2 right now with a few other big names waiting in the wings. Seems like a good Steam Sale purchase for me, potentially.Comment

I must say Atlantic Fleet is very fun. Ships, planes and subs. Day missions, night missions, rain storms. 50 missions in campaign mode, they have a custom single battle mode and the Battle of the Atlantic with up to 30 ships on each side. They have the option of wind effecting your shells being shot.Comment

I'll have to give that game a look. If you enjoy Naval combat, definitely check out Naval Action: http://store.steampowered.com/app/311310. Its developed by the same group that created Ultimate General: Gettysburg, which is one of the best war games I have ever played.I must say Atlantic Fleet is very fun. Ships, planes and subs. Been reading up on Stardew Valley. I think I'm gonna pick it up this morning. Never played Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing, but this looks like a nice relaxing game I could pour some serious hours into.Anyone tried Stardew Valley? I'm not super far into it, and I haven't played Harvest Moon in a while... but I feel like it's Harvest Moon with more freedom in a sense. Hard to describe, not disappointed in it at all though.badComment
