I posted this in the Arma 3 thread, but my 2500k kicked the bucket. Instead of buying one to replace it I took some money I've been saving and went and got a 6700k, a mobo for it, and will have 16gb of RAM instead of 8. It's bittersweet. I bought the 970 not too long ago so I've basically got a new PC now. I hate to spend the money, but fortunately I'd been saving some. I'm excited to see how everything runs.

Only for $1200.....Jen-Hsun needs a few more leather jackets. Pascal pricing is out of control and none of these cards are even on HBM or HBM2.

Some rumors going around is that AMD might be unveiling Vega very soon which is why Nvidia unveiled this card so quickly.

Don't worry, the 1080Ti will be on the way for $899/$999 (FE). I feel bad for those that bought 2 1080's to SLI. There is no one to blame but AMD, they are not bringing the competition to NVIDIA so these prices are going to be out of control.

They've done this for the past two iterations. This isn't all that surprising. If they purchased two 1080s and are shocked about then they didn't do any research

If you're willing to build it yourself, you could do much better for around $400. Check out this site for a tier list of parts:

Looking to bump up my current monitor to a good affordable ($300-600) range 4K monitor with 144hz, keep looking online but spec comparison and very mixed user reviews is frustrating, lol

For someone running SLI...did the latest driver update for the Nvidia Control Panel get rid of the "Select Preferred Graphics Processor" selection? It used to be on the global settings (under Manage 3d settings), but it isn't there any more.
