Amazon has it in stock for MSRP ($259), so I may pull the trigger on this one.

Can't go wrong with evga. I would go for it.

Again I'll echo Uber and sbauer and say EVGA hasn't wronged me in the past. They have top notch customer service and support.

Also for those who own 10-series cards EVGA is giving out free PowerLink Cable Management adapters. Just requires a registered EVGA card and an invoice if bought from an authorized retailer.

        2080 Ti teased.

        http://www.tweaktown.com/news/54285/...ies/index.html

I'm probably going to hold on to my i5-4690k and 980Ti until the 20nn cards are released and then do a pricey new build come bonus time.

EVGA is my go to, as well. Best cards I have ever owned

Can anyone tell me what Async Compute is? I just saw it in the Gears 4 options menu (in Geforce Experience, not in game)

I have the eVGA 1060 3GB version. This is exactly what I bought: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191989041160...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Used rigs are the way to go.

Well, I ordered the EVGA 1060 6GB SC (shorter card) since I have an SFF case. Should be here on Tuesday. Excited!

It's not awful, but I'd swap out that power supply.

It's a Dell case so how's the air flow and space? You could build a 1060 pc with a new i5, ddr 4 memory, better power supply, twice the hard drive space and a Windows 10 license for $140 more. Everything would be brand new as well.

^we'll see when I get it. I already own Win10 pro. Im not worried about more space and seeing how well it played bf4 maxed out, I'm confident it'll turn out nice. $140 is $140

fwiw I am considering swapping out the PSU for peace of mind.
                  edit 2: cancelled the order

Re: OS Steam and Computer Gaming Thread

Decided against buying a prebuilt system, my original budget was $3k for just the PC but I figured I could get a new monitor and and much more of a system of I just built it myself. I'm just getting into researching what parts I want but I know I want a very portable PC with a GTX Titan. I'm going to make it as small as possible so I want to just go with a single card so I can keep the PSU small.

I'm definitely no expert in building so I could definitely use some tips.

For AMD cards yes. For Nvidia cards you need a SLI bridge.

Got my new EVGA 1060 SC yesterday! Installed drivers and ran a bunch of benchmarks last night. Card absolutely blows my old 7850 out of the water. Can't wait to start playing some games in ultra!
